Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 0h01m01s

Lap 1 - Straight between T1 and T2 – Francesco Molteni and RogUK

Francesco drifts across the nose of RogUK who has to take avoiding action.

Francesco should not have moved over until RogUK\\\'s car was clearly visible in his mirrors. He should have maintained his line and not moved over until at least 0h01m03s and probably not until 0h01m04s.

Server replay time: 0h01m07s

Lap 1 - Turn 2 – Francesco Molteni and RogUK

RogUK rear ends Francesco.

Server replay time: 0h20m54s

fast lap = fabio is lapped by bastian, he hurts bastian

Server replay time: 0h24m51s

lap 15, bastian spin rainier

Server replay time: 0h43m49s

Lap 25 - Turn 1 – Francesco Molteni and Bastian Grupp

Bastian has sufficient overlap (75%) to contest the corner (i.e. >50%) but he does not have the 100% necessary to claim the corner outright.

Francesco and Bastian,
Report incidents and let the moderation decide.
Please don't continue this discussion in the forum.

It was really a nightmare!
I solved all my PC issue when offline alone but online with other drivers I was suddenly dropping FPS on different track zones (only 24-30 FPS): is Stardust a FPS hungry track?!?
Also, braking with right foot it's not really easy when in race: I guess I missed the gear hundred times...
I hope it will be better on next Sunday with the 67s @Kyalami.

@Bastian & Rainier
I always tried to let the racing line to the drivers that were lapping me.

See you on track.
Cheers

Exactly the same problem I have.  The extra concentration necessary to coordinate right foot braking with H-Shifter and left foot clutch control is very hard to master when hot lapping.  But in race when there is so much more to think about it is extremely tough indeed.  I've started to improve but I still miss a lot of shifts from 2nd to 3rd and from 5th to 4th when the pressure is on in a race.  Hot lapping practice helps a little but it is no substitute for a full-on race.  All I can say is that it is tough but getting easier the more races I do.

Keep persevering Fabio!  Now I've made the move, I'd never go back to left foot braking, it seems unnatural now.

For me, the foot coordination is ok, but I had a bad habit of keeping only one hand on the wheel (most of the time).

The same for me ,also if the transition from 2 pedals to 3 is resulted in the loss of some second per lap.

Thank you, Fabio.

You can also running slower when a leader is lapping you, especially on a track where it is not easy to cleanly overtake.

By the way, you do not disturb me during the race, but, from what I could see,  I think the opinion of Walter on that subject could be interesting.

As Billy wrote in the registration thread, sometimes lapped traffic makes the race more interesting. For this race, I was prepared to be patient while lapping, and it worked out pretty good for me.

Have not watched replay yet (how do you get to UKGPL3 ftp or do you have to register at sendspace to get replay)?

This is the right link to the Ams replays.

Alternatively, when links don't work: choosing Replays from the main site; then go left below to Direct FTP access. Choose Replays, then Archive, Season31, and then the right division.

In both cases, it doesn't work !

I'm still not sure if i get this system right. In the end it is only me who is punished. il lupo manaro isn't punished although he started that chain reaction. francesco's punishment isn't doing anything because he stay's last. Or what's about that penalty points ? i don't get it.

Bastian
Each incident is examined independently.  If you want to appeal any or all of the incidents please PM me.

I agree punishing someone who is last has no net effect (apart from amassing penalty points).  But unfortunately we cannot reinstate a victim's position so all we can do is punish the perpetrator.

The penalty points system is built into the SRou web site.  It is intended to counteract the weakness you have highlighted in that it is not possible to demote drivers who have already finished last.  A description of the penalty system is under the "Yellow Card System" on this page. A worked example is here.
