Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 2502s

Maikel, nfsw55 and Denis head into turn 1, and while Maikel is ahead of the other 2, nfsw and Denis are alongside.
Nfsw\\\\\\\'s line is in the middle of the track and he keeps driving parallel to the edge of the track.
Denis\\\\\\\' is all the way on the inside and slowly starts moving to the left.
At the moment of the contact nfsw line was straight and Denis was the one change lanes.
The victim of this incident was Maikel, luckily for him he was able to recover from it and win.

I don\\\\\\\'t see either nfsw or Denis do anything blatantly wrong, but with apps like HeliCorsa, you should have more awareness of what is alongside you. Because Denis was the one slightly behind and changing his lines, I feel this report is more directed towards him, but because the victim (Maikel) recovered and because I didn\\\\\\\'t see a dangerous manoevre, this will be a warning without penalty.

AFTER APPEAL: Both drivers change line shortly after the start which results in an avoidavble incident.
Both drivers cautioned and advised to watch the direction changes shortly after the start. Race incident without penalties.

Server replay time: 2613s

Heading into turn 1 of lap 2, Baikal takes a steady and safe braking point for turn 1.
Nfsw is quite far behind Baikal and brakes much later which results in rear ending Baikal hard, punting him off and ruining his race.
Baikal has every right to take it steady on the first few laps when tyres are cold and no optimum. It\'s up to the driver behind to adept to it.
Especialyl in the early laps, a more cautious apprach is recommended.

  • nfsw55penalty — Rear end shunt — 2 places lost

Server replay time: 3960s

Mark Jonzo has a very late and ambitious overtaking manoevre into the doube right handers before teh back straight.
His car was never more alongside than his front bumper and to overtake at that corner is taking a lot of risk.

So those extra wait times that have been introduced, I can't see how you set them using AcServerManager nor can I find reference to these settings in the AC Server Manager post. So how do you do this?

Discussing it in a race thread is fine in my book Simon, as long as it doesn't descend into shouty accusations.   Kiss There is a big difference to being knocked off by numpty driving verses unfortunate racing contact. Would always wish for both cars to continue unscathed but sadly it doesn't often happen.

Thanks for that, if you search for the wrong thing thy shall not find it. I was transfixed on the word wait in all the searches I did  Embarrassed

Not sure why that happens to you, there was no mass disconnect like before. Although I bet Dennis is not happy he lost connection with a handful of laps left to run. I assume it's just network routing.

And may be we are not need extra lap which was after rece finish?
Just set RACE_EXTRA_LAP=0
Personally I prefer not to have the car snatched away under AI control as soon as the race ends. In the old GTR 2 days we used to let off steam by crashing in to each other just after the finish line / at the 1st corner   Roll Eyes

That was a very busy race.

The track is awesome and I felt quite comfortable there. I set a new PB in the practice session and I was very confident for the race. Qualified P2 behind Maikel, who also found some tenths, since I wasn't able to replicate my practice lap from earlier on.
Start was ok, but at turn one someone came across the grass and collided with Maikel (just watched the replay and there I noticed that it was Denis who had a little touch with me right at the start). I was able to avoid both cars, but Alexey passed all of us on the inside line and went into the lead Cheesy  As I already mentioned before, Alexey and me also collided the lap after and Simon went into the lead.
After that the race settled down a bit and I found myself in a nice group with Simon and Denis, closely battling for P1.
After passing Simon I had the lead for exactly one lap Grin I went too wide at the downhill section right before the oak tree corner and spun on the grass. I entered the track after the oak tree corner on the back straight, but I had the feeling that I even gained a few tenths there to the guys behind, so I decided to wait and let the leading trio go by.
After that I just tried to follow Maikel, had some more battling with Simon and finished P2 in the end.

Now off to Bathurst, which will probably be the most challenging race this season Tongue

That's one way to put it...
Maybe you shouldn't pull to the right for no reason when there are cars right next to you, just a heads up.

Well I need to apologise to Michael, I saw the replay quickly this morning and the gap I thought I saw just wasn't there really. In my racing head I threw a dummy to take my normal wider entry knowing he kept putting his car middle of the road to block me, so I did a late move for the inside line (hence why it looked like he turned in on me from my cockpit). My front left makes contact with his side rear quarter and we both go off.
Sorry Michael, maybe a little frustration/desperation had crept in after 4-5 laps stuck behind you and losing so much time.  Sad

It's the rules, it's not fine and the rules are there for a reason. You of all people, being a director, should follow the rules and lead by example. If you think the rules are wrong then talk to the management team and get the rules changed. The rules are not open to interpretation they are simple and clear, no public race incident discussion.

I don't believe there is a rule about your own youtube videos, so I guess you can do whatever you like with them, as long as the discussion is not here.

The rule is there so that race incidents dont descend into "you're an idiot" type discussions as they tend to do when people disagree.

well.. discussing incidents in public can help clarifying your line of stewarding to the drivers though.
speaking of stewarding, have there been any consequences from the race at Hockenheim?

oh and i first had a nice giggle when i saw that happening in my mirrors, then i cried as i noticed it was me, being kicked from the server.
