Quite an interesting race. The sea of white Lolas parted to the left and to the right on lap1 and I sailed up to 3rd for a while. I didn't really know what I was doing and spun, went wide and fell back to where I started. Andreas was coming back through. After a battle with Dave, he joined me and we had some exciting close racing for a few laps. Maybe it was more luck than judgement, but we survived and had fun.

Oddly, I suffered with fps at 30 all race. It was the same at times in qualy. Near the end of the last lap I had 60fps for the first time in the race. It was just like someone ahead had finished and left the circuit and their presence on track was holding me at 30fps until they left. Can that be possible?

Grats to Tim, Sam, Doni. Commiserations to those with troubles technical and manual.

Do you have a backup of the GPL folder?
I do save the folder to an extern HD when all is fine.

Make shure the Harddisk is technically ok by running HWiNFO32

I re connected my external back-up hard disk to check for a GPL archive file and.....it has developed a fault and although the power "on" light glows and it makes all the right noises.....I cannot read any of the data!! Undecided

I have sent off the error log to the GEM guy, maybe he is still around and can offer some help?

Axel, I think you said that the XXSEASON.ini file should match the xx.ini files within GEM?  I assume that you mean they should contain the same circuits and in the same order for each of the mods??? Because mine most certainly do not, I have different numbers of tracks and different lists in all of the mods??  Could that be my problem, because these lists must have been different for quite some time and I have had no probs until now.

just an idea:
restore all season.ini files by the saved season.ini.PreGEM files, deleting the .PreGEM ending.

If you never sorted the season files in GEM by directory, wich often causes errors,
there must be something else, maybe HW related...

Afair you are using an intel 775 board older than 5+ years
Please take a look into the PC and look if all capacitors are ok and have no swollen heads or leaks!
