GTC-65 Fun Race

GT40 and AC Cobra will be banned (NOT allowed). As this is a fun race, multipliers don't come into it so we'll even up the racing by banning the stupidly fast cars.

This will be 2 short races at a tighter track (to make up for the low numbers), should make it more fun and competitive.

ALL SimRacing.org.uk members welcome.

Date: Tuesday 4th April

Practice: 8:15pm (30 mins)
Qual: 8:45pm (30 mins)
Race 1: 9:15pm (11 laps)
Race 2: 9:40pm (11 laps) - NO QUALIFYING

Track: Magny-Cours National
Race Time Of Day Setting: 13:00

Server: SimRacing.org.uk(UKGTL)
Password: usual practice password

The start procedure will be ROLLING START as per UKGTL Season 0-B and 0-C.

I'm up for taking an Alpine SBG, i love that car and only havent used it cos simbin have made it pants slow Angry  Considering it was such a prolific sports car and rally racer in the 60's Roll Eyes
As long as i have others to race against, it'll be fun....not like those fancy 'must win' elan drivers  Wink Tongue

According to rank, Healys and Alpine should be evenly matched  wheelchair. Could be fun at the back.

The Alpine is a wicked car actually, but you always have to drive it far faster than you think it can go. After you get used to how to drive it, it's not too shabby. I have a 2:16.308 in the Alpine at Imola for example.

If a big group are taking the slower cars, then can't we limit the cars further? Just Alpine or Healey only perhaps? With relatively low turnouts the race will be very lonely for the faster cars if we don't.

Well we only know about 6 people so far so difficult to judge.

People can always change cars as it's a fun race when they get there anyway.
