I was wondering if it would be sensible to already try a slight weight penalty for the C9? On 100% boost it will still blast everyting else out of the water, but over race distance things could get evened out more or less.
Last time out on the streets of Adelaide the Merc was a match for both 787b and 962c and on the long tracks it has more of an advantage.

Almost impossible to judge after 1 race. It will probably dominate this race, but we need to see how much and more importantly, how the Porsches hold up. At Adelaide they were the worst of the 4, if that is still the case here, they will be useless.
Slowing the Mazda down will be almost impossible, as it has a handling advantage, which means adding weight will make it even slower on the straights and take away its advantage, which will render it defenseless.

What worries me more, is that the server has been up for over a day, and Maikel still hasn't done a lap yet  Shocked

Based on your 1:16 lap time I've set the race for 32 laps

Second half of the week is usually reserved for Core practise/race time  Grin

I'll give the Merc another shot tomorrow. Biggest worry is going to be the tyres. We'll see how that evens out with the Longtail's pace

Thought I was 2nd  Huh Tongue
The Merc has a huge tire disadvantage based on Adelaide. If that holds out it may be all the balancing needed, unless Maikel manages to sort his Hard tyres out for Paul Ricard....

TBH I'm going on vague recollections too as it's been a few nights sleep since the race!
Fairly sure I was on for a safe 3rd and then Maikel's tyres gave up  Grin

Did quite a few laps in the 787b, but i am still a bit off pace. Maybe pretty normal that Jeffrey's time in the Mazda is more than a second faster, but Matteo got it round in a 1.16sec. Although he also is the overall fastest in the shorttail 962c... Cool

Nice version of Paul Ricard. Remember this layout from Microprose GP500. It has a nice retro feel about it. I can almost smell the fumes of my rotary engine.
I noticed i had version 1.3 from the extended track pack installed. We are running the 1.2 version?

The server does a checksum check to ensure no one's cheating so I guess any difference between 1.2 and 1.3 is cosmetic if you're connecting ok

Because no one told me the two packs had different versions or if they did I ignored them Wink I'll not change it now but will try to for future '88 style events.
