Hi

Few years ago I've learned about GPLaps channel on YT, with a bunch of "Let's race" videos using GPL. The coolest thing for me, was the fact that he was using trackir while driving(like here). Ever since I saw that I wanted to try it myself, but on my old PC it wasn't possible.

With the release of new mod I've decided to install GPL and to finally try head tracking in it. Here is the result: link. I've spend some time in flight sims, so I'm used to the idea of head tracking and someone new to it might need some time to get used to it. But it feels absolutely awesome.

For those who also like this idea, you don't have to buy an actual trackir. I definitely didn't bought one myself. I'm using a modified PS3 eye camera with trackir pro clip(although I should have build one myself) and free software opentrack.

I still need to test it online with 60fps patch, but for now it works great

I have Track IR5 which I have used for sim racing for about 8 years now. I would hate to drive without it now. It did take a little while to adjust to it but it soon becomes natural. Good luck with your DIY version  thumbup1
