Hello fellow Racers, I am going to organise an AC Le Mans 1 hour Race with a pit stop (probably first Sunday in August). This poll is to gauge what type of car people would like to race (and how many people are interested in taking part!). P.S. Spanner, thanks for pointing out the mistake

Why not both in a multi-class race?

At the moment we are struggling to get more than 5 or 6 people racing on a Sunday night. If we start getting bigger grids I will happily consider multiclass!

Ok, I understand. A decent grid in all classes is essential for multi-class racing. I'm definitaly interested in this race and I'll leave my vote.

Voted LMP1. Probably hard to get the most out of, because of the energy system and stuff (not really into that). So would need some proper practice beforehand. GT3 is easier so probably better racing.. Still would like to do a race with the LMP1 cars.

Thought the gte type cars would be better alongside lmp1 but guess it's only latest RSR v old Fezza, Vette and BMW unless kunos release a tasty 488gte to race the pork Can't be bothered to learn energy recovery systems so I'll stick with good old gt cars

I voted LMP purely for the fact that GT3 are beginning to bore me senseless and i would rather drive something different.
Just my 2p but have you considered something like a more classic race? 917K perhaps or the older GT1 cars, porsche, mas, F1gtr etc..
It "may" generate more interest because a) they are more challenging to drive and b) theu are unusual.
With that said, i would race the fiat 500 at lemans becuase i just love lemans..

The poll is tight at the moment, 4 votes for each! Maybe I will do one for GT3, then an lmp1 race at a later date. Still there is a few days left on the poll, so it could go either way

I would only let aliens drive the Lmp unless mortals can get close on laptimes...maybe within 107% or whatever the f1 bods use . I base that on experience racing elsewhere with multiclass where the prototypes are so much faster.

The poll has closed, a tie with 5 votes for each!
Thanks to everyone who voted, it is good to know that there is interest in doing this event. I have decided to make the August 6th race for GT3's, but as there seems to be a fair demand for running prototypes i will organise another special Le Mans race later in the year using prototypes. Taking on board peoples comments about the LMP1's requiring a lot of time to get on top of the energy harvesting etc, i may look at running a more simpler type of prototype, i will do another poll leading up to the race to get peoples views on what other options are available. I will put up a race announcement for the 6 August GT3 race in the next few days.

Hello Racers, I have been searching for a suitable version of Le Mans to use for our 6th August AC Le Mans GT3 special event, I have found the following one: http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/circuit-de-la-sarthe-24-hours-of-lemans.2482/I have added it to my PC and done a few laps practice, seems ok so far. Has anyone had any experience of using this track before?

FYI
Everyone will need to have the 'Ready to Race' DLC for the 6th August AC Le Mans GT3 special event. I have decided to incorporate this as the general concensus during Mark J's recent GT3 series was that we should start using it after his series ended. So anyone wishing to use the new Audi R8 LMS will be able to try it out at Le Sarthe!
I will put the race announcement up tomorrow night
