Not sure what happened at start but I got dumped back in the pits and had to wait 20 seconds or so. Had a nice chase back but spun in the midfield section losing a couple of places. Got side by side with someone (still don't know how to put driver labels on) and thought I'd left enough space but a little touch which was enough to send me into the concrete barriers making the car undriveable. Fun while it lasted  Smiley

You probably jumped the start without knowing, and got put in the pits for being naughty.
I did the 1st few times I ran in AC. This is the only sim I know, where putting it in gear
with the clutch in and not moving, gives you a jump start.
AC starts are best done by leaving it in neutral, and put it in gear when the flag drops.

Server has for some time now been configured for a drive through if you jump the start so it shouldn't have been that.

I'm sadly losing the will to race these. I don't really have time to practice, unless I drop some of the other races I do here, and can't work out why sometimes a corner is fine and the next lap I'm off in the kitty litter without do anything much different. I quit as the leaders caught me up to lap me, last thing I need to do is ruin their races  Embarrassed

what a series of disasters that was to ruin my nights racing at one of my fave combos  :'(

AC took 3 re-starts before I finally was up and running, first a blank central monitor then loss of steering wheel  Roll Eyes  Missed all of qually then to add insult to injury it took me straight to race grid with my low fuel qually set up  taz so I knew no matter where I ran I would have to stop during the race for fuel  :'(
Got stuck behind slower cars for first 10 minutes and had 2 accidents just trying to avoid hitting the rear of cars braking early in front of me (another reason I don't like this qually format).
When I cleared the cars in front I went 1.4 secs faster straighter away before sector3 ! and then took about 8 secs out of nsfw who was 20 secs up the road when I broke clear.
Stopped for fuel with 10mins to go, but would they put fuel in my car?....No!  gun_bandana so I had to quit to pit and wait 30 seconds to be allowed to re-join  Roll Eyes
did about 1 lap more and my steering wheel disconnected again....aaargh!!  Don't know if its this mod track or a flipping Microsoft update that's screwed me.

What a mess  Sad gutted.

but that's not true, I do every race start with my clutch pedal pressed and in 1st gear, not had a jump start yet.  hammer

Nope, didn't even get that far. I hit the race button to join the grid about 15 seconds before the end of the countdown and was dumped straight back to the pits  Roll Eyes Probably for the best as I'm always nervous about spoiling someone's race in AC as I never feel in control of the car.

@Mark, yes it is very frustrating being behind slower cars, can often lead to the following car making mistakes as turn ins and braking points are harder to spot. All part of racing I suppose.

First of all: great track and car combo, the fast section at the beginning of each lap was great fun.

My qualifying went well with P4, I made up a position at the start but on lap 1 I heavily hit the wall on the last corner. After that I had serious suspension damage and the car was horrible to drive Sad

I want to get the skins sorted. I tried to download the skin pack again and got a 404 error. Any ideas?

Still turned out a pretty interesting race. Sorta survival of the fittest  Grin

Got 3rd at quali, probably took it abit too easy. But better safe then sorry. I got off well at the start until my shifter decided to fall lose when I went to 2nd .... Roll Eyes  managed to switch gears, race and get the shifter back unto the table pretty well actaully  Cool
I think I was 6th into the first corner and managed to get back to 3rd by some luck and a divebomb. After that it was fmg and me switching positions as we were making mistakes, top 3 laptimes were pretty much equal most of the time. I was going for a comfortable 2nd when I hit the wall on the last corner right before the last lap. With some suspension damage and all I had to give up the position to fmg in the end.

Still a pretty intense race in these things.

On to Poznan, which should also be a pretty good track for these cars I'm guessing.

Yeah, that was me. And the touch was my fault, not yours - I hadn't realised that you had got all the way alongside me, otherwise would not have moved out wider like that, sorry GT. Driver name toggle is Ctrl+L.

And sorry to Pete for getting in your way early on - I was actually trying to get OUT of your way..!

Otherwise a fun race, congrats podium.

Sorted, the link on the series page works, the one on this race page doesn't.

Yeh sorry about that, was trying to avoid someone in front who had a lousy start. It'll buff out anyway and adds to its racing pedigree.
