No problem Matt. I had no ambition in this race and I tried to finish just for the glory drifting around for my Roman fans  Grin Grin

Good race for me , finally got a clean qually lap in too!

Started 7th, got a good start and soon found myself 4th, where I stayed for about the next 20 minutes, unable to stay with the front 3 but also a decent gap to the cars behind.
With about 8 mins left Fmg started to catch me and I started locking my fronts a bit under pressure. Then I made my only mistake of the race running a bit wide in one of the big corners and he was through and gone  :'( I chased but couldn't keep with him and brought the car home a decent 5th  Cool

My first start in this series so far and tbh I wasn't quite sure what to expect from the old Porsche.
Turned my first laps with the car on the circuit during today's practice session, I was several seconds off the pace but surprisingly I had fun lapping the Porsche around Vallelunga.
Qualified P6 ( btw thumbs up for the 1 hotlap only qualifying mode, made it quite interesting) and had a great battle for the first 15 minutes with Alexey. I was able to improve my times from lap to lap and after a slight mistake from Alexey I was able to get past him, but a very fast fmg from behind went past me just a few moments after. For the second half of the race I was behind Mark, but we had a quite similar pace so I wasn't able to close the gap any further. Finished where I started, but had great fun. Hopefully I'll be able to make it to next weeks race as well.

Didin't have a good first sector in qually, but a purple second sector. Unfortunatly, there was a spun car in the last part which cost me a few tenths and possibly pole, but with hindsight, that wouldn't have mattered anyway.

Top 3 all had the same start, which for me was a lot better than last week. Maikel and Felix both ran a bit wide at Cimini, so I was able to take Maikel's spot. Felix created a bit of a gap, but the laps afterwards I was slowly closing down when all of a sudden his car slowed down and he pulled off to the right. I can't remember seeing the smoke, so at the time I had no idea what happened.

At that point Maikel was 2 seconds behind me, but he was faster, so it would have been interesting, if I didn't have a full oversteer moment in Semaforo. Lost the lead and Maikel was around 2 second ahead and still lapping a bit faster. I was barely holding on untill the last few laps when his gearbox almost gave up the ghost. Which made the finish look at lot closer than it felt for me, as I never felt I had the chance once I lost the lead.

Off to Riverside, where I have a strong suspicion I won't be faster this time Tongue

Not much time for practice this week, and I went to the grid with wrong setup. I'm not very familiar with AC and some of the procedures - is it possible to quit back to pit, change setup and re-join the grid? I tried clicking "return to pit" or something, but nothing happened..

Was a bit wary of getting too close to anyone as I didn't trust the car, specially in the slow corners, and I knew I did not have enough fuel to complete the race in any case. Intended to try and pit and refuel, but missed pit entry around half distance and ran dry on the next lap..

Congrats podium.

I have no problem with the penalty, but it seems a bit draconian for the series admin
to be dishing out penalties for incidents where the victim stated quite clearly he had
no problem with it. Just my opinion.

I'm just reviewing the first lap for incidents. Incidents that happened other then the first lap will need to be reported before being reviewed and penalized. Seeing I'm basically the only active AC incident moderator, I can't be bothered begging other people constantly to please, please review incidents.

Reason why I'm penalizing 1st lap incidents even without a report, is because these incidents can ruin somebody's race within a few minutes, wastign hours of practice. And to keep it fair and even for everybody, I'm not going to make a difference between people not having a problem with the incident or not. The penalty was also just the standard penalty that's in the rules.
