On my replay I am definitely braking before the 100M board, not after. But yes, I should have left more room in any case as we were so close. Apologies again.

just a reminder to the admin team  Wink before race 2, the skins were wrong for some of us. I was in car 60 and Sutol was in my Vaillant skin and someone else said they were wrong too.  Kiss
Shame more of you didn't take up the numerous tasty historical skins available, makes the grid look much better  :'(

It's a shame we don't understand how the entry_list file works  Embarrassed It appears Sutol joined the server before you Mark and stole your skin. I thought the point of adding GUIDs to the entry_list was to ensure only a matching entrant could join but this is obviously not the case. Sutol is not in Jeff's list of drivers!

I just created the entry list how I was told  Tongue. Put the folder name of the skin behind the SKIN= line. If somebody tells me how to do it properly, it will be fixed for round 2, but if the skins was the only main issue, I can't complain.

Sutol is not in Jeff's list of drivers!

Because as far as I can tell, he never applied  Tongue

From my understanding there was nothing wrong with the entry_list file but obviously I don't understand how this works as someone was able to join not in the list. They had to have a car, as the game was letting them join, so it gave them the first available free one. When MJ joined, as his stead was thus already taken, he took the next available and so the mix up continued. I'm struggling to understand the logic adopted here or what setting needs changing to ensure only registered drivers are included  :'(

Apologies to Pete for spinning into your path  Embarrassed I was trying to not block you too much and over did it into
the corner, after that I was a "passenger" Good fun these cars after I made an easy to drive setup
I was clearly slower in turns than some - Frex for e.g drove up behind me mid corner as if we were in different cars  Shocked
But if I gave it more front grip, my "fast in slow out" style threw me off at every corner.

Hi Mark, where do I find the skins?

It's on page 1 of Jeffs series thread. I think it would be best to have the link on the first post of the race thread really so new drivers know about it.

Regarding the driver entry file I am as confused as you Pete as assumed the idea of it is that only drivers on it can enter the race and with the skin assigned to them in the file.  Huh Worked well for my Blancpain series. Is there a server option that has to be ticked to force it to use the driver file parameters?
Otherwise we run the risk of a non regular driver rocking up and taking the place of someone if there is a full race (tho unlikely)

Hi Mark, where do I find the skins?

Why do I even make a series page  Tongue. Link to skinpack is added to the first post of every race thread, under the track links (lazy buggers  Grin).

Link to MJ's skinpack with historical skins can be found here

OK thanks Jeffery, I would like to officially apply for the Season 4 race series please. I am sorry that I have caused so much confusion but on previous series I have been told that I was on the list even though I hadn't asked to be (thanks by the way). As for skins I was looking on the announcement for Round 1 and couldn't find anything, so obviously I'm looking in the wrong place and I still can't find it!

Once I have downloaded the skin pack how do I determine whether a particular skin is available and then how do I notify race control which available skin I'm using. Sorry to be a pain?!

You are now on the list, as can be seen here.

As for skins I was looking on the announcement for Round 1 and couldn't find anything, so obviously I'm looking in the wrong place and I still can't find it!
There wasn't a link to the skinpack in the opening post of the race, but it was on the series information page (under the drivers list). I now included a link in every opening post, except for round one, as that pretty much over now  Tongue.

Once I have downloaded the skin pack how do I determine whether a particular skin is available and then how do I notify race control which available skin I'm using. Sorry to be a pain?!

You can see the selected skins in the driver list. Whatever is left, you can pick, or you can download a skin from somewhere else and link to it, so it can be included in the skinpack.

Pretty sure last night the server was "merely" passworded, as my name was not in the list of drivers (in yellow or white) on the connection screen, but I could join anyway with just a password.

I saw you spinning and thought if I brake I'll do the same in sympathy so I tried hard to get passed before you reached me. Sadly I wasn't quick enough. If I had more skill I'm sure I had enough time that I should have been able to avoid it. Thanks for the apology but these things happen, it obviously wasn't deliberate Wink

You were in the drivers file Simon

I don't doubt it, but all I can tell you is that my name wasn't listed on the lobby thing when I went to join the server. Everybody was in white, whereas normally you see some in yellow and some in white dependant on whether they have connected or not. So I wonder if the option to restrict to driver list wasn't enabled, or Kunos has broken it? It was fine cause the password restricted entry and didn't prevent anyone joining who wanted to.
