Hello racers,

The above announcement is my first go at doing an AC Race announcement and there are a couple of details that I am not 100% certain about, so the post will probably be updated over the next few days. I would also appreciate peoples views on the following points:

I will work out the fuel multiplier so that we will have to stop to fill up roughly 3/4 of a tank to ensure there is a bit of strategy but to ensure that the pitstops are not too far apart. is everyone ok to leave the tyre multiplier at 1? (I do not have much spare time to do practice and am not sure whether the tyre wear will necessitate a tyre change during a 1 hour race).

tyres and fuel at 1x always work best, AC now has a pit window you can set.. you just set the lap you want it to open and the lap you want it to close.. also you can force a mandatory pit stop in which you have to add at least 1L of fuel.

if you had to put one of the things on 2x then make it fuel. Smiley

Are you going to ballast the Lambos? The recent Blancpain series showed that it's going to have a good advantage at a track like this sadly. If not, just state that aliens can't drive them  Undecided
Be useful to get a driver list going too.

This is the first AC race I have organised and I am still on a learning curve and trying to keep things simple for the first few races. I was not planning on using any ballast for this one off race.

In principle i am open to creating a driver list so that everyone can have their car of choice, Mark would it be possible for you to PM me with some details on how I do this?

I meant driver list on here for now as in 'show of hands' - who's racing  Smiley

@Mark, good idea.

Could interested racers who plan to take part in the race please state their name and car type, the following GT3 cars are available:

Audi R8 LMS
BMW Z4
Lamborghini Huracan
Ferrari 488
McLaren 650
Mercedes AMG
Nissan GTR
Porsche 911GT3-R

Provisional list so far:

SRW - McLaren 650
Mark J - Porsche?  Wink
nfsw55 - Audi
Spanner - maclaren 650S
Apex - Porsche
Postal - Audi
Picnic - Nissan

Could all racers who wish to pre-book a car let me know what type of car they would like before the end of play Saturday

PLEASE NOTE: I have amended the race announcement to tyres=Normal and Fuel=2x (After doing a few laps I have calculated that we would need roughly 90 litres of fuel for a 1 hour race. Being as a fuel tank holds 110 litres I have set the fuel to 2x so that a pit stop for roughly 70 litres will be needed).

hmm.... I intended it to be a GT3 race, I thought I selected the GT3 filter in the AC car selection, maybe i filtered GT3 & GT2 by mistake. I will check when I get a chance.

I think AC tends to filter them all as 'GT' cars so includes the GT2/GTE cars as well.

I'm in though not a big fan of driving le mans strangely, always hated it on GTR2!

I'll go with the maclaren 650S
