Qual 2: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ 40 Mins

Cars allowed: Any car from GTR3 class
Track: Sachsenring (Full)
Time of Day Setting: Afternoon
Weather: Dry

Start: Rolling
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit-stops: None required

Server: Simracing.org.uk
Password: see above

Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Tracks for this series
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

After the special AC Le Mans race last week we are back to R3E this Sunday, round the fast sweeping curves of Sachsenring!

The server is now set for practice around the Sachsenring. I did a half hour session on it last night, I really like the fast flowing middle section of the track, while exiting one corner you are already entering the next one. Takes a few laps praccy to string them together but the lap times drop when you have got it sussed.

Lol partly why i dont like this track. Though we'd run it a few times before in strange cars, it wasnt until we first did it in GT3s that i felt i'd worked out the sequence.

Disastrous race for me, never really got on with the circuit and couldn't find/make a setup that I could drive very well. Losing a good 2 secs a lap to the cars in front I decided to wait for Apex but he was off even more than me. I ended up deciding I had better things to do and quit. Sorry all.

Am in London this week, so can't do any races. I like this track thought it flows well with reasonably fast cars I felt.

The first part with the slow off camber corners followed by an over the crest double left hander was too much for me. No grip and I was off more laps than not. To be fair though when  I looked I was a second a sector slower than Spanner for all 3 so the car combo and I just suck here. I seem to recall being less competitive here in the NSUs too.

i really enjoyed that, good to get a race win by leading rather than inheriting it when others crash out. it is really easy to overdrive here trying to grab a little extra speed. shame there was such a small turn out.

Well you say that! It was more of a controlled race for me as I didn't want to disappear out front so was just keeping to a pace trying to keep SRW close by. Decided to drop back behind about 5 secs to put him under some pressure and give me someone to chase but then the start of the next lap I fell off and lost 5 more secs. So then tried quite hard to close the gap down but never made it! But.. I enjoyed it more!
