Practice: 20:00 BST (30 mins)
Qual 2: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ 40 Mins

Cars allowed: Any car from GTR3 class
Track: Bathurst
Time of Day Setting: Afternoon
Weather: Dry

Start: Rolling
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit-stops: None required

Server: Simracing.org.uk
Password: see above

Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Tracks for this series
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

hi racers, after the fairly low turn out for recent races, I am thinking of switching this race to Norisring instead, otherwise we will probably end up hot lapping. before I make the change could I please have a show of hands of who is planning on racing this weekend and which circuit you would rather do. (FYI I am planning on using GT3's @Bathurst during the spring season on the Bathurst 1000 weekend in October, so we will still be using it in the near future).

Choice of hot lapping around Bathurst or Norisring?? Not exactly a hard choice that! Bathurst every time.

Should be around tho, am planning on going to Brands again so maybe late.

The general concensus seems to be for Bathurst even if there is a low turnout..... So the server has been switched to the mountain for practice ahead of tomorrow nights race!

I'll blame Matt for that one! Falling off at the first corner meant i had a lonely first half without really pushing though the track bites enough. I wasnt entirely sure if i needed to take 2nd gear through the narrow section and with Matt suddenly gaining on me i went for 2nd instead of staying in 3rd and lost the car right where theres is no room to barely spin it back around. Got going again but was now 10secs behind Matt.

Bathurst is always a challenge and rewarding race, trying to push hard without hitting the walls.

A small grid but we had some close racing during the first few laps, then just settled into a groove trying to get smoother over the top of the mountain. Good practice as we will be using this track/car combo during the forthcoming autumn season around the time of the real Bathurst 1000.

Tried the Audi at 1st, but as everyone else was using one, went for something to mix it up a bit, and ran the Ford GT3
which I have always rather liked. had an off somewhere allowing Mark to get away, then was very slowly reeling him in
when he helpfully spun himself in one of those awkward places to get going  Cheesy
