Alfa GTA Historic Racing Series 2019

Round 6 Monza '66 is up next.  I can end the series on this round if the championship contenders are happy too, but if the general thought is you want to carry on until round 8 to finish the series then shout up below.  Despite lots of excellent close racing, this series seems to be running out of numbers attending and enthusiasm. (only 8 raced last time and shark has now dropped out since)   I'm happy with either decision, though tempted to see it out to make the drop outs wait longer for another series!  .

Keep on truckin' with these GTA's. Good sideway fun and rather close racing. Just look at the footage of the last couple of rounds. I suspect we don't get double grid sizes if we switch to someting else suddenly either.

Mathematically (is that even a word) championship is still open but we all know how it's going, anyway, let's drive with these untill FMG secure win in this series...

I agree with Stefan, if we quit now we're likely to get less drivers, not more, as there'll be no time to advertise a new series.

Plus some of the missing numbers were people who are just unable to make the races, and of course these are are just epic fun so it's their loss - not ours

Yes it is I should be back this week, sadly not everyone can make every race so numbers will always fluctuate a little. I like these as when I make a mistake it's often recoverable where as the aero on the Evoras is such that when I lose grip it's a lost cause. I don't have the reaction speeds required. Thus I have to drive like Little Miss Daisy and I never feel like I'm pushing it. Practising for days with no enjoyment ain't going to happen and even then I'll never compete with the guys up front

Good stuff all, lets keep on racing these litttle beasts then, i love them personally and have often thought of building a GTA replica in real life, but i'd have to sell one of my other beloved toys. I agree, those staying away are missing the racing fun, but they are also detracting from ours by giving us less cars to fight.

I'll keep racing if the races are there to be done
