First impressions at Spa...I'd rather be in a 956 

It's a bit Transit van like in sounds, like the Audi lmp1 cars  and it drives like it's on rails, so much so that I kept turning in too early and running over the apex kerbs 
It feels like an Lmp2 car I guess.

Sounds like you aren't pushing enough  . They do feel very grippy, but that's why I picked them. They kinda give the feeling of an LMP, but a lot more manageable. So in the end I think they shine during the race and not hotlapping. Also why I picked tracks with long straights that offer drafting and overtaking opportunities.

Isn't the SCG basically a custom built GT3 car?

That said, I wouldn't mind a LMP1 race 
Had a great mini Le Man race at Core with it. 2,4 hours and finishing 2nd just a second in front of the number 3

Yes, the car is build to GT3 regulations but can't be homologated due to the low amount of road cars (afaik they need 25 or 50 road cars)
IRL the car got more and more competitve over the years. Their best achievment till now is probably the pole position and several lead laps at this years n24h race.
