I'm liking the car here. Nice to be able to attack the curbs without the car spinning around.  Grin

I've also put my setup I threw together on ptracker.

Feels like an underpowered LMP2, is this what a LMP3 feels like lol. Suits me, less worrying about the car and more about how to drive it.

I have an appointment earlier tonight, but i should be able to make it back in time for the race. If not, you lot have fun!

Indeed, lets hope less focus on the car means more battles on the track!
Oh, and there is no definitve skinpack yet, right?

Thanks for the setup, haven't tested it yet, but all the setups I downloaded seemed to be bugged with maximum damper settings.

Oh, and there is no definitve skinpack yet, right?

It is up now. Download link only on the series page, to prevent me from having to change a million links when a skin gets added.

I should give a try to it! I'm quite lost when there isn't Gavino to help me on the setup. I guess that the Red Bull must wait a bit to be on top again Smiley

It was a copy paste error from the Porsche series. Times adjusted. Thanks for the headsup.

Sorry I bailed, helped shift 200+ hay bales on Sunday and today it seems to have caught up with me. I can hardly move my left shoulder now. Once I crashed out I took the easy option. Good racing until then Shark and Postal Smiley

Dont take the hard tyres! completly changed the car, was 2 secs off and they would turn green and then cool down again during the lap

Rubbish race for me - Pace seemed OK considering my normal abilities in anything with an ECU, but I gently bumped NSFW in the Chicane at Fagnes and spun. Still don't know how I caught him so fast there, if anything I braked sooner  Shocked

After that I got collected by a spinner a few corners later, lifted to avoid him which threw the car out of control (Tires were red hot from the spin 3 corners earlier) so I clobbered said spinner pretty hard.
Trip to the pits to sort out my steering and rejoined 1 minute behind the leader - great start to lap 2  Sad

From there it was just a battle to claw back some time and hopefully places, one was gifted to me when Picnic left - I then got passed Larry while he was in the pits.

Looking better than I expected until the penultimate lap: I didnt have enough fuel to complete the race! Presumably some of my aero damage was destroying my economy as I was using something like 1.3 laps worth of fuel per lap. My generous fuel load wasn't enough.
Pitted for a splash and dash but got pipped by Larry while stopped and couldn't get back to him.

Roll on the next one....

Enjoyed that. Car was great on this track.

For quali I managed to get the softs work somewhat. Though at around Pouhon they were all completely red temps.

Start was good and after a few laps I noticed Matteo, Jeffrey and Felix battling it out giving me a sizeable gap. Managed to not screw anything up though I had a few close slippery calls as the tyres were dying. Pretty much on hotlapping mode but I didn't mind it withthis car.  Cool

good car and track combo, car was quite cool to drive around here.  Smiley

Had a decent qually and got best of the rest as usual tucked in behind the aliens. At race start I suddenly realised I had never tried a standing start in one of these!  Shocked but was good enough, losing out to FMG for a lap until his weird spin at Fagnes. Shame he fell off as although I clung to the top 5 for about 15minutes, they gradually pulled away from me whilst I steadily pulled away from those behind me.
After 20mins or so I was bored out of my mind running solely on my tod with a 10+ sec gap to the pack behind and with just the odd glimpse of nsfw up ahead in some corners  yawn  it stayed like that until race end so effectively I just did about 40minutes of solo hotlapping  Roll Eyes

Maybe it was the big track but for me, 45minutes in a grid of 15 cars is 15minutes too long.  Sad I spent at least half the race just trying to maintain some focus to stay on track as my mind kept wandering to other things without any competition on track. It was dull, we need either more cars or a slightly shorter race.  Undecided

My qually was horrible, only after my 4th attempt or so did I put a lap in.

Start was the same as the people around me, but I had to take La Source a lot tighter, so my car bogged down a bit there. Had Felix and nfsw right behind me before Eau Rouge, but was able to stay ahead with the help of a push  Cheesy. Got a bit of a draft on the Kemmel straight, but couldn't get alongside Matteo.

I then expected Matteo to drive off, but I was able to get closer a few laps later. I gained a lot in Les Combes, but it was very hard to stay closer as these cars seem to suffer a lot from driving in the draft. At one point I was right behind Matteo through Eau Rouge, and my car didn't steer in and the front just lifted off the ground  Grin.

Had some great side by side action with Matteo as well. I overtook him at Les Combes, obly to get drafted past the next lap at the same place. I then got on the dirty stuff, which gave Felix a run on me and I got the Alonso/Palmer treatment in Rivage  Smiley. Can't remember how I got past Felix, but I was within a second of Matteo most of the time.

I was about to say, he never buckeled under pressure, but then in the penultimate lap, he spun, gifting me second place.

Great pace Maikel, guess we need to step it up a lot next round.

Dont take the hard tyres! completly changed the car, was 2 secs off and they would turn green and then cool down again during the lap

May I ask why you opted for the hards? I saw somebody go for it during practice, but I thought it was a mistake.

Sorry I bailed, helped shift 200+ hay bales on Sunday and today it seems to have caught up with me. I can hardly move my left shoulder now. Once I crashed out I took the easy option. Good racing until then Shark and Postal Smiley

You aren't 18 anymore Pete Wink.

Great suggestion, let me just get some more cars  Roll Eyes Wink. Depending on who joins, there could be more people next week, but this week we had 2 people I didn't expect.
Not going to shorten the races after 1 round. For me the laps flew by as I was constantly chasing somebody and if the race was 30 minutes, I wouldn't have been 2nd.

In the GTR2 days, we did 40 minute races, which were called sprints Tongue. Races of 30 minutes are really short for cars that are quite simple to drive, like these. That's more suitable for the classic cars, which will make a 30 minute race feel a lot tougher.
