Quite a few 'other' drivers seemed to like this combo on stracker, did you advertise this over at kunos? (Just asking not having a dig). It might entice new drivers to join, it's worked before!

Horrible evening for me.
Qualifying went bad, race wasn't any better. Started and finished on P5.
I was nearly a whole second behind my practice pace, don't know why Huh
Off to Elkhart Lake now, hopefully with a better result.

If I'm honoust, the amount of unknown people that did a lap on the server was quite low. That was often a lot higher with the Porsche practice server. I'm not counting the people that did 1 lap or did very uncompetitive laps.
There was a welcoming message on the practice server and the race is advertised on kunos forum.

I can't remember that working before.

I find myself agreeing with Jonzo on something Shocked Shocked, I thought 45 minutes was maybe 5 minutes too long for this type of race. I had no-one to race after I had dispensed with Stefan fairly early on. The rest of the time was spent improving my lap times, but I was still never as fast as Mark ahead so even if I had practised I still would have had no one to race as I wasn't the same pace as anyone ahead of behind me.

I've no idea where you guys were finding another 4 seconds on my final times as I was on the absolute edge for my fastest lap. I guess you weren't using the default setup like me, but I have a horrid feeling some of you were! As usual my fastest lap involved no off-track "cuts". I hate that PLP thing, it nearly always moans at me even when I've lost time for "cutting" Roll Eyes. I only have it cause CORE wants it for their league.

If only MK had taken my advice to take 80 litres it might have been closer! Grin

5 Minutes, yes that would make a huge difference  Cheesy. I saw you were improving your PB's during the race (as usual Smiley), so if I'm honoust, the fact that you were alone, has a lot to do with you losing time at the beginning of the race due to lack of practice. Maybe if you were a bit faster at the start, you'd be able to cling on to the car infront.

I used Maikel's setup, which was faster during practice, but I was struggling with it during the race. I turned PLP off as I won't be racing at CORE for a few months, as their car choices are so boring (GT3, GT4, GT2, GT4, MX5  yawn).

It can all change next round, maybe that track suits you better than Spa and you have closer battles.

I'm open for suggestions on formats, there is also room for people to create their own series (either via me or on their own). I'm just not going to change something that isn't proven to be broken after just 1 round Smiley.

I was going to work at asking for 5 minutes off each week until it was down to 30 minute races, otherwise you may just ignore me (I would!)!  Tongue Kiss

I didn't want to start a new series with a criticism as I know too well how that feels when I was organising  Tongue
But did feel the race was 10 minutes too long with nothing happening. I kept looking at the drivers positions  table and I don't think it changed for 30 minutes! Which meant everyone was just trundling around in their own position. Maybe there were fights going on but I didn't see another car behind so wouldn't know  Undecided

I need a sprinkling of pace dust to find those extra secs a lap that the top 4 have otherwise I'm destined for a lonely series. I actually considered parking up last night at lack of action but stuck to it for the points.

Let's see if Road America mixes it up a bit more  Undecided

NSU?
No power, little grip but respond well to lift off oversteer at a speed / rate I can usually handle. We had an awesome race at the Nordsclife where 3 of us were swapping places the whole race.

I didn't want to start a new series with a criticism as I know too well how that feels when I was organising  Tongue
Don't worry, I don't mind. Just giving my thoughts on why I do certain things the way I do Smiley

First half of the race it was me, Matteo and Felix, all withing a few seconds (with Maikel driving off Tongue). I was within a second of Matteo the most of the race. I only overtook him in the penultimate lap, so even with a 5 minute shorter race, it would have been 3rd for me instead of 2nd.
Not saying because I benefited from it, is the way it needs to be 45 minutes, as I had no idea at the time I picked it. There are often just more stories. And this race might have been boring for you 2, but who knows, maybe next week you are in an epic fight when all of a sudden....chequered flag. Then there will be posts, I wish the race was longer as we were having so much fun Cheesy.

I need a sprinkling of pace dust to find those extra secs a lap that the top 4 have otherwise I'm destined for a lonely series. I actually considered parking up last night at lack of action but stuck to it for the points.
Bring back the old porkers  Grin

I have no idea how to do Maikel's pace, but these cars can corner faster than you might expect, which is a mindset I needed to adapt to. Hope the next series will float your boat more Smiley.
