Talking of Rifts - is there any way to see car labels? It used to be they were all over the shop but now I can't see any.

Luckily this was my last race EVER with this car on AC.

Can't drive this car on this track without a good setup. At one point it was simply not funny at all not to be capable of driving the car, so after the spin number 'N' I pressed Escape.
The only remarkable thing of the race was the overtake I suffered by Redman at the Corkscrew.
Not a fan of this track too, or at least this conversion seemed a bit too bumpy.
See you in a couple of weeks Wink

Had a decent qually and bagged 6th. Got a good clean start and chased the top 4 for a while until I got a daft outward spin at the corkscrew which dropped me down to about 8th.
Re caught and past all but Simon who must have turned up the wick when I caught him as he drove his wheels off for about the next 10 minutes with me chasing hard.
But he turned in a tad too early on entry to the sf straight and got out of shape so I blasted past.

Last 15 minutes were a bit dull with nobody in sight except a few lapped back markers, it was hard to keep focus but finished a sound 4th   Smiley

no I can't get labels to work properly with the rift. I use the real time app to get an idea of who is in front and behind me.

Hey guys,

I had a race with many incidents. Several people crashed into me or just pushed me off the road. I had a quick chat with Jeffrey now who said that my car wasn't visible on his screen.
Now I fear that I was invisible for everyone during the race. Can anybody confirm that he wasn't able to see me during the race? I had a yellow skin and started from P5, right in front of Mark and Simon. Mark then crashed into me at turn 3, but I guess you weren't able to see me, right? I had similar incidents with Simon, Larry and SRW afterwards...

Very confusing, never had something like this in AC or heard about it before Huh

At the end of qualifying I commented to Spanner, on TeamSpeak, that you had appeared to leave the server. Your name was grey and you had no ping listed.

Wonder if AC have introduced some issues with MP in last week's update? What with this as the strange pause between Practice and Qual and possibly the Checksum errors some saw on Sunday.

same for me nsfw, your name was greyed out and your car was missing from slot 5 on the grid. I assumed you had quit for some reason and not rejoined in time. Definitely never saw your car. In fact unless you set a very late quick time you didn't even appear in qually as I was 5th until end of qually sesh until I saw your greyed name in front of me. Very odd one!

There was a space in front of me on the grid. I guess that's where you should have been? Never saw your car during the race although I did see you setting times in ptracker. I figured you were miles up the road with the leaders. LOL.

Nooo, just missed it by 2 minutes  Cry Shocked   Cry

I shouldn''t have stopped for those pedestrians on the way home  Grin

I saw you join the server, couldn't you leave the pits anymore?

Not a fan of this track too, or at least this conversion seemed a bit too bumpy.

Bumpyness reminded me of Zandvoort. I'm curious how bumpy the laser scanned version is going to be.

Exactly same situation here. Also when Maikel left the server, the 2 cars infront of me warped badly. Another thing I've never seen before. I wish AC gets more features with every patch, I don't mean these kind of features  Tongue.

As for the race. I crashed everywhere during practice, so I decided to play it safe during the race and just try and survive. First few laps I was able to stay with Felix and Chris as they were keeping eachother busy. Then when Chris went off I was withing 1,5 seconds of Felix for a while, but the only thing I could do was hope for a mistake by him, as he was faster than me. But as he didn't make a mistake, I went and did it for him Tongue.
At that point the gap was about 4 seconds and increasing, so I just focused on not making another mistake again, WIth about 15 minutes to go, all of a sudden I see Felix in the gravel and I was gifted the lead.

The race went from, just trying to bring it home safely, to having something to lose all of a sudden. Felix became a man on a mission and started pumping in fast laps after fast laps, so I couldn't cruise anymore and I had to push again. The race shouldn't have been any longer, because I wouldn't have been able to keep him behind me.

Totally undeserved win for me as I never had the outright pace myself.

To finish first, first you must finish (or to not experience a weird half disconnected state bug where no one can see you and it seems like everyone just wants you punt you off  Wink).

I started, i spun.. twice and i finished Smiley

In all seriousness i know the track was pretty grim, but i kinda really enjoyed myself Smiley hardly did any practising at all but somehow managed 3rd in qual on medium tyres (felix sent me his set, was qute nice). Race started and i put a little pressure on felix for the first couple laps then i made a mistake, jeffery and santini got past and i just started to catch santini when i spun again.. i settled for 4th but then santini made a mistake so i passed him and then jeffery was miles ahead! Back to settling for 3rd, noticed felix in 2nd so i just carried on and it was the last lap i saw a back marker in front so i just backed off and had a cruise to the finish.. ended up being felix who had made another mistake!

Ah well Smiley

Its so much more fun when your not fighting for a result, just relaxing and very enjoyable for me.

I hope i can get on for next week, Smiley
