Moderator's Report

Summary
Just 1 reported incident.

Server replay time: 0h04m28s

Lap 2 - Scierie - Alessandro Isacchini and Tristan Bot
From the start both drivers are evenly matched with Tristan trying to find his way around Alessandro in his very quick Ferrari. On lap 1 (Replay Time: 0:02:18) whilst exiting Gresil, Alessandro maintains a tight inside line before drifting out to the outside to take up the normal racing line. Although Tristan had moved out first, he wasn't in a position to overtake so Alessandro didn't block a legitimate overtaking move and when Tristan switched to the inside line, Alessandro drove fairly on the approach to Sciere and didn't move to block. Onto Lap 2 with Tristan trying everything to get past. As they approach Scierie for the second time, neither driver wants to give the other any room. The battle to be the last of the late brakers results in Alessandro running wide but he keeps all four wheels on the tarmac and exits the corner under full power. Tristan manages to keep a tight line under braking and has gained several yards on Alessandro and they exit the corner with Tristan having achieved a 50% overlap. At this point the vagaries on on-line racing take over, and although there is a clear gap on the server replay, the GPL collision engine registers contact. Tristan is out of the race but Alessandro can continue.

Neither driver did anything wrong although it would have been prudent to pay each other a little more respect and to leave each other a little more room. Two evenly matched drivers should be able to race closely and exchange positions without contact provided the limitations imposed by on-line racing are acknowledged.

Season 32 Historic Trophy – Round 2 - Rouen

The second race in the Historic series takes us to Rouen in France.  From its opening in 1950, Rouen-Les-Essarts was recognized as one of Europe's finest circuits, with modern pits, a wide track, and spectator grandstands. The circuit (which ran on public roads) had a few medium straights, a cobbled hairpin turn (Nouveau Monde) at the southernmost tip, and a few blind corners through a wooded hillside. The appeal was greatly enhanced by the climb from Nouveau Monde at 56 metres to Gresil at 149 metres.

Driver lists and divisional rules can be found on the championship standings page

Only reported incidents will be moderated, there is no Red Zone.

Handicapping and chassis allocation.
This season the Historics will be using a token system which allows drivers to purchase any chassis of their choice, 2 litre or 3 litre, for a given number of tokens as published on the championship standings page. Drivers classed as Amateurs will be allocated an additional 10 tokens.  The token allocation will not be managed in SRou this season so (unlike the 67F1 Works and 67F1 Privateer divisions) the tokens available to each driver will not appear in the championship table (when the mouse pointer is hovered over the driver's total).  Rather, the available tokens will be published in the race announcement.  See below.

Available Tokens:
Note: These are the tokens available to each driver before the 10 tokens are added for making the race start.

UKGPL9 will be running up overnight for practice. I've completely re-done the port forwarding which I think was the culprit. Extensive logging is in place. We shall see...

Works for me Jethro, no problem to join.

I have my new Linux server running, seems to work fine, I will host the next GT race with it.

Hi all,

i got a problem on IGOR:

it says when starting from GEM: "Last GPL Player name cannot be found..." but starts Igor Anyway.
When trying to join the server, there is a pop up "EAccessVialotion", and Igor quits.

I already reinstalled GEM, no change but new message: Access violation at adress 005b52d3 in module igor.exe

(I didnt change players at all)

Can you join UKGPL_9 directly from GPL Multiplayer window?  If you can it will be a workaround for tonight.  But I don't know how to actually fix your problem.

UKGPL9 is still running, at 185.61.88.132, if you join via IP direct from GPL.

We will be using UKGPL_4 for the race tonight.  IGOR does appear to be down so I've started it as a server from GPL.  So it should be possible for everyone to join via GPL multiplayer window, the IP address is 2.24.206.249
If IGOR doesn't get fixed we'll have to try this method tonight.

I've just tried to join UKGPL9 direct, but I got time out as last week.

I can join UKGPL4 direct. One note: pole sitter is too far ahead on the grid and doesn't see flagman.
Thx
