Postal misses his brake- and turn-in point for the hairpin and ends up on the grass, turning him into a passenger of his own car. He ends up collecting Chris who is just exiting the hairpin.

one of my fave tracks of all time in GPL/GTL etc. This version has more dips and crests, but is still fab
not sure that Gresil was two corners as it is here, but it drives well.
I am probably not sliding the car as Chris is, but to me this is much less dangerous than Monaco
and I am hoping to make it.

According to those historical notes under the track map Chris is as fast as Jim Clark  Shocked though Chris isn’t facing death or disaster at every turn like they did  eek

Every time I’m on for a new pb I have a mishap somewhere  Roll Eyes the worst by far being near 2 secs up with only the last straight to complete and my gear stick came off as I put it in 5th  taz  laugh

I should have some more time to prepare the race, so count me in again.  Kiss angel

Didn't expect to finish, but not in such a rubbish way.

For some reason it felt like my car violently bottomed out at turn 1 which send me wide and then I hit an invisible wall  Angry. That bounced me right in the track of Matteo, sorry  Sad.

Here is what I "hit":

EDIT: Looks like I was already warned by that  Roll Eyes:

Grin Mind the piece of grass on first bend, left hand side, it's a brick wall and will demolish you.

I tried to avoid the contact with you Jeff, and I almost done... Unfortunately we touched slightly in your last part of your dancing tornado, and I can proudly say that mine dancing tornado was far better than yours  Grin Grin

Damn, it was a pity, for a time I was even starting to enjoy a race with these deadly coffins!  Roll Eyes

Never raced on the next two tracks, so I'll race if I won't be a danger.

See you  Wink

To say I'm annoyed would be a massive understatement.

Got to the grid and had no control inputs - couldn't quit to the pits either for some reason until after the race had started - which was slowed as Mark couldn't avoid me and hit my car. Forcing me to wait for it to roll into a wall and stop to quit.
Tried rejoining and every time I had no controls.

Quit in disgust just as the field completed their first lap and loaded the Lotus up here in practice - Worked perfectly  cursing

After getting the car sussed last week and Felix's excellent setup this time around I was really looking forward to tonight's race  Sad

Shame, I was doing alright during practise and had a pretty good quali session. Even managed to do a 2:14:00 but ran abit wide at one point so it didn't count.

So I was quite confident during the start, managed to score a spot into third. I was feeling good keeping close behind Chris and Felix the first lap. Ofcourse during lap 2 everything goes wrong, I start missing my braking points, miss my downshifts. Luckily I didn't break any suspension but the rear was badly damaged. This was costing me about 3 or 4 seconds of speed alone so I didn't see much point in continuing anyway. Shame as I was just beginning to like the track  Grin

At least, was a pretty race. The track fit really well with these cars, fast corners, tailbraking as hell and die when you go out.
I was really worried about the practice times in this week, seemed to be around middle ranking, but today I feelt so good with the car, and at least I did a good 4th, with a lot of luck in two episodes.

Me and my teammate Fabri, sometimes with only 15 mins the quali are really messy!

The start was really good, without accident or mistakes, as usual in this champ

My teammate overtake me, he was really much more fast...

...and precise! I opened the throttle to much early! I lost 3 positions...

...that I regained after this terrible crash just the next lap!

Of course I tried to emulate the crash. No hard damege, only some bumps on chassis

And I finish the race in 4th behind...

...The winner, Felix. Fabri 2nd and ChrisR that close the podium.

Great pics Porco  Cool the cars looked amazing at this track, very atmospheric, I loved the cockpit view when chasing another car through the crowds and undulations.  tt1

Set a new pb in quality but still found myself down the order due to the number of quick guys upfront.

Got a good race start but found the guy ahead completely stationary and almost rear ended his car  Shocked just about squeezing around it without getting hit by others..phew.
Kept it clean down the hill whilst enjoying the dicing spectacle ahead. Lap2 felt like days of thunder heading down through the tyre smoke and broken cars  Shocked Grin and I found myself fighting for 4th with Porco for a few laps but it appears I had the wrong gear ratio as he was able to leave me for dead on the fast stretches and he gradually pulled away. I kept within 7 secs of him the rest of the race not making a single mistake  angel until the very last lap when I braked whilst having my right rear tyre on dirt  Shocked that nearly threw my whole race away but I gathered it up without contact and just lost 4 secs.  sweatdrop

Really enjoyed the challenge of keeping the car on this deadly track and was great dicing with cars early on and chasing Porco. Just a shame we lost a few cars early on and I got no further challenges from those behind so ‘racing’ was limited.
Congrats to the flying Felix on the win and all who finished  thumbup1

Managed to make a few places at the start through others misfortune. Mark came up behind and obviously was going to make it past at some point so made it easy for him Tongue From Lap 4 onwards, after getting tagged at the hairpin, the car was not good but driveable. Then I discovered the now changed cars vulnerabilities ie it did not like braking and turning much. This lead to several more spectacular crashes and a steering wheel that was at 45 deg to the normal. Limped my way round wondering how many were going to lap me. These cars are hard enough as it is but with damage you may as well be on a skid pan!

This is a brilliant track for running old skool cars! Good choice indeed and i hope we will use it again in near future.

I had a pretty OK start and was feeling quite comfortable. Still on cold tires i ran wide after late braking at some point, which cost me two places.
Then half way while  was being chased by Maikel, after his recovery from a spin, i accidentally misshifted for the hairpin. This forced me onto the grass and the bump in the middle of the grass made sure i had no control what so ever. Unfortunately my sliding car ran into the car of Sutol who was just completing the hairpin turn. Sorry about that mate. Embarrassed
Had to give up some more positions, but was able to continue to the finish. Looking forward to the next track, never driven it but the layout certainly looks fast!

Enjoyed that, had very little practice, and was struggling to see some of the apexes due to the strong shadows
don't think I got gresil right ever  Roll Eyes
Didn't get to race anyone much, as I was a bit slower than some. I let Chris past, and possibly Postal
as I was getting continual blue flags, though both had fallen off somewhere and I went past.
Both were a bit faster anyway. My mission was to finish with no damage, and I managed it, so a result
of sorts  Grin
Might make Longford, It won't be as flexible next week. Longford, if I remember it correctly is long straights
with a few awkward fences to jump onto  Shocked

I said that here racing would be dangerous...

For those who say Monaco was hard, Rouen is 10 times more dangerous.  Smiley

Longford is even worse, the most dangerous track I've ever tried.
