Practice: 20:00 BST (30 mins)
Qualifying: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ 50 Minutes

Cars allowed: Any car from "GTR3" class

Track: Spa Francorchamps GP
Time of Day Setting
: Afternoon

Start: Manual rolling start with formation lap
Tyre wear: x1
Fuel consumption: x2
Pit-stops: 1 pitstop required

Server: Simracing.org.uk
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Tracks for this series
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap[/quote]

Should be around for this one  Smiley

We'll probably have some new cars to play with this week as well as new physics for all of the GTR3 class. Can't think of a better place to test them than Spa  Cool

Help, there is a Steam and a Large RRE update. When I tried to start RRE I got a RRRE_Crash Notification and a note to  send the Code to Sector 3 Studios so they can improve RRE.

I don't know how to do this and until my problem is fixed MY RRE WON'T WORK!!!!!!

Have you tried a game repair from inside Steam? You might have a corrupt file that gets fixed.

Don't worry Bill, it is the same for everyone. The update patch has been released for downloading but Raceroom itself is still in maintenance mode.....should be good to go in the next hour or so.

The server has been reset to Spa for tomorrow nights GT3 mini enduro. Don't forget to map your pitstop buttons and do a practice stop, it usually catches someone out!

I will work out the fuel multiplier and update the race post before the end of the day

Exciting times:
3 new GT3 cars (Corvette, Audi & Merc)

true triple screen support
major game update
Race around SPA

hopefully this will drag a few more racers on to the grid this weekend!

I have done some number crunching, fuel will be set to x2 for tomorrow nights race to ensure a pitstop is required.

just done a few laps in the updated game, feels a lot more like AC now

I seemed to have the Windows 10 fall update on thursday which meant my sound card stopped working. Spent all of friday night sorting it rather than driving Sad

it was good to get a decent run out in the updated GT3's last night, they are definitely more AC like now. I was expecting a few more to turn up for GT3's @ Spa, maybe more people will start competing next year when I put on more AC events.....

GT, spanner, Larry, did your race results go wrong at the end of last nights race. I finished in third, but after I crossed the finish line the game said I had won?

My results also showed you as having won SRW.

As for cars, I tested 2 or 3 of the GTR3 cars and the physics update seems to have made them a bit livelier as well as balancing their relative performance. Tyre model for the GT3s is also new but couldn't really tell much difference from the old one, maybe a little lower wear rate than before. Surprised no-one rocked up in one of the new cars  Smiley

Hadnt really done any practise, had forgotten about the whole physics update for the class; tried loading an old setup and it looked a little different! Eventually got a setup together but still a touch too much understeer in it compared to old setups. I will say the traction control has been reworked well as its the only thing to help controlling the torque especially sliding it out of the last corner!

Mucked up the pitstop though, Didnt feel the tyres were wearing that quickly so thought i would save time in the pits and not change tyres. But I'd forgotten that i needed to confirm will driving down the pitlane, well got distracted as i was a bit concerned somethings wasnt right when the distance to my pit seemed rather large! Didnt think the pitlane was that long!
