Did some more testing today with the GT3 Porkas. I can get a setup that makes it
tame enough, though not so fast, so I will do a GT3 series, and an NSU one for sure
I am thinking of a Gr5 Capri spec series as well, as they are powerull enough to be
challenging, but since one of the updates, I can now drive them, so anyone can  Roll Eyes

I tried the GT4 Porsche, and it has more setups, but is not as much fun as the GT3
and I'm no Pork herder Cheesy

Tracks not yet decided, but the usual suspects, Euro/American packs. Any and all of
the Nordic ones. Does Imola come in a pack these days? if not you will need that one.

So. To do all series you will need the tracks as above, and a GT3 Porsche, an NSUtt
and a Capri skin of your choice. Skins are whatever people want, but It's nice if people
use a differnet one. I have bought the pretty blue Porks.

The GTR3 car is great but can I put my vote in for the GT3 Cup car? It's more exciting to drive than the ABS and traction controlled GT3 spec car and because it has less aero it's also much quicker in a straight line.

Didn't realise there were more than one, perhaps that's why I found it easy to drive once, and
a tough drive the next time.... I will test again.

EDIT: It is the Cup car that I have been testing. It would be better with some more setup options
but with full rear wing, and full hard front ARB, and full soft rear ARB it is drivable even
if it's slow like that, if anyone needs to tame it.

I had not realised they had snuck a GT3 porka into the
normal GT3 group. Had a quick go, and yes it is a nice easy drive, so would suit me fine  Roll Eyes
but it is a bit too easy. We will use the GT3 Cup, and if it proves to be too challenging
we can always swap to the GT3 "normal group" one.

It is the pretty blue GT3 Cup car that I have purchased.

Also.... Not looked at the spring rates, but one of the "challenges" with the GT3 Cup car
is that I assumed the suspension was very hard, it's not very forgiving, and will flip over
on a whim if you mount a kerb, which suggests either very hard damping, or stiff springs?

I will start entering events later today. This thursday will be the 1st  Porsche GT3 Cup event
and it will be at Red Bull Ring. (Speilberg)

Ok, blame Porsche's naming dept! Where a GT3 doesn't actually conform to the FIA GT3 class!

The Cup car setup has the dampers greyed out at a value of one which says the car is very underdamped and was finding braking quite difficult to not lock up around Mid Ohio where i tried it out.

Ok, tried Mid Ohio, Portimao, Speilberg, Laguna Seca, and Imola.
It is somewhat "quirky" but I think it will produce some interesting
racing. It needs to be driven very carefully, and doesn't suit my
"fast in slow out" rubbish style. I have learned some discipline from
Jeffrey's Lotus 25 series  Shocked so I will cope.....
