First of all, I must say that it was a funny race.

After a good quali lap (which could have been a lot better without that damned 'cuts'), I tried to keep Felix' pace, but Fmg was attacking me everywhere until the end of the second sector, so I was more busy in defending myself than attacking Felix actually.
Then I took a bit of gap by fmg and I was pushing hard to come back on Felix. During the third lap I gained 1 second on him in the first two sectors, but then I spun at the little karousell.
Second position was lost, but I had to defend the podium. I pushed like a crazy to keep high the concentration on the last lap, but at the 'Hoheneichen' my car spun again hitting the armco.
Luckily the damage were not too heavy, but Chris was right on my back after he passed Fabri. I knew that he would have been faster on the single lap but overtaking here is very difficult, so I fought all the lap to keep that half second separating us as much as possible. At the exit of the Karoussel he was right on my backfires and in the subsequent corners we were side by side, but I mangaed to keep the third position until the checkered flag. Great stuff, thanks for the fun Chris.
At least, now I shouldn't be anymore in the last position of this unlucky championship for what regards me. I hope to be a bit luckier in the next one(s).
I'll not be able to race on 27th, due to a fun event we organized with the VDA in the same date.

Have fun and merry XMas to all of you. Cu on track in 2018 Wink

Had a fun race, didnt manage a qual lap, not through lack of trying tho.. just couldnt string together two laps for some reason!.

Had a nice 1/2 lap with matteo in which he held up a great fight, not wanting to be too forceful on this combo i faught to the end and ended 4th.

I have really enjoyed the season, thumbs up to Jeffery as i know how difficult it can be picking and choosing tracks to race on, i think given the availible tracks he did a pretty good job.

I wont be able to join you guys on the 27th as i have qualifying to do for AC Italys ROTY event.

So i shall see you all on track in the new year.?

Like already mentioned; great to have a championship round on this track and with a lovely car. Thanks to everybody who participated and to Jeff in particular for organizing it all.

Just feel a bit sad... every other car will feel bland now after these!  Roll Eyes

Merry xmas to all! Hohoho

Thanks to Jeffrey for organising a very entertaining series. I thoroughly enjoyed it and to finish at the Ring, where the car seemed right at home, was a great finale.

I predicted that after the first lap I wouldn't see another car. Far from it, there was always a car visible in front and behind. Great fun making it as difficult as possible for Mark, as I know he was after some points, and also Stefan champing at my heals. Well done guys, good driving from the pair of you.

Well done to Felix, Chris and Fabri for some great consistent driving.

Merry Christmas all, and have a safe, happy new year with some great racing.

Cheers Chris

Well, as can be seen in my results over the season - it took a while, but I finally sussed the setups in these Grin

I guess it's the price I pay for insisting on doing it myself wherever possible. I've had great fun in this series, and the last few rounds since I've got a hand on how to set the cars up have been an absolute joy.

Big thanks to Jeffers for all the work behind this, and of course to all the others who have also joined in. Wouldn't have been half as much fun on my own Wink

For a change of pace may I sugest motorsports land 2 in the Abarth 595's now?  Grin

Yes big congrats to Felix, a worthy champion in these cars  thumbup1

I thoroughly enjoyed a season long fight for 5th with ChrisT and one or two others, only for FMG to nip ahead of both of us in the last round  Roll Eyes  Cheesy

Good tracks, good racing (mostly!) The only thing I didn't like was the occasional un-predictability of the car under braking/downshifts when it would do its best to put you into the scenery, even though you braked the same way at the same corner 15 times previously!  Lips Sealed but nice to have a car to slide around in a fairly controllable way. Am sure we can get similar with some of the other historic cars on offer  Smiley
