Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

IMPORTANT

Some cars will slide a bit on this track whilst waiting on the grid for the start lights. At the green light pull away slowly and there will be no overtaking until past the start/finish line please.

This race was way more eventful than the first. Had good battles with Kurt (again) and Bob and Ziu with each of us making errors or being slipstreamed to swop places. Very exciting and close racing at times. Looking forward to seeing the race results to see how many overtakes I had.
With Geoffers away at Oulton Park (nice weather mate) and Erling being awol the field was reduced but it looked like for the most part everyone had someone to battle with

Result_Race Two

Cool

One of the very rare chances for me when all things work together: first of all a working setup, a more or less faultless race,
some of the other/faster guys facing different problems and last but not least a great portion of luck Cheesy
That's my motivation why I'm racing here  Cool

Improved over nearly 2 seconds compared to race one and had a lot of fun.

Thanks Tony for organizing and clean competition!

Apologies for my absence; was on another Porsche (and Caterham) adventure, this time to the Tatra Mountains in Slovakia.  Drove from east of Prague and straight home on Sunday, so not really ready for more steering wheel antics when I got home.  With no time to practice on Monday either, I found it best to skip the races:

Thanks for sharing the holiday snaps. Are these the same intrepid explorers you toured Scotland with?

BTW that vomit trail on the map is impressive. Think you should change your diet, something is not agreeing with you  Wink

Some of them are the same yes; who goes on these trips varies a little from time to time, depending on who can make it or not.  Brave gent in the Caterham and his son were with us for the first time.  First car broke down around 50 km into the journey, which gave me an unexpected co-driver.  Already carrying the luggage of the Caterham, my car was pretty well packed by then.  Later during the trip, 2½ car wouldn't start.  Some took the car train home, while I, the Caterham and a 911 with defect starter drove home.  Had to push-start the 911 on the ferry between Germany & Denmark, but went without a hitch - not even a beep from the waiting cars behind  Smiley   You Brits will be happy to hear that the Caterham performed flawlessly... Wink

Vomit trail  Cheesy - it's a readout from the GPS tracker in my car - easiest way to trace the route.

That looks like a great adventure Erling, and some beautiful scenery viewed from fun cars. ( well, they are fun when they work properly lol!!).
The nearest I came to your route ( and it was not all that close!) was going from Copenhagen airport to Helsingor, by train, and across to Helsingborg, on the ferry, before driving to Bjuv a small town with a huge Nestle production facility. Hardly an epic journey, and NOT in classic cars. We had a Nissan Primera GT with snow tyres to cope with the freezing weather....we had also been told that it never snows in Helsingborg as it is too far South..........we had about 15cms the day we arrived!!

I visited Oulton last year and enjoyed the racing and the venue, although the British weather conspired to force us to sit inside our car and watch the aquatic antics by open topped vintage racers around Knicker Brook. At least it was a circuit where you could park your car and still watch the action and not have to stand around in pouring rain!! lol.

My friend Andy and myself are continuing our slightly less adventurous quest to visit all of the UK's racing venues, which continues in a few weeks time with a weekend to visit Snetterton and Mallory ( with an evening of Stock Car racing thrown in too! ) over the weekend 9-10-11th June. BTW We are always happy to meetup with fellow sim racers who might be local to the tracks we are visiting.

Last year we did Donnington, Rockingham, Oulton, Croft, Brands Hatch, Santa Pod and Cadwell Park. We also visited the Kings Lynn stock cars during one of our trips. In previous years we have done the Goodwood Revival several times so that is also ticked off the list.
That leaves a possible trip to Scotland for Knockhill, and then to Wales for Pembury and Anglesy. Being from the West Country we can do Castle Combe ( been there many times as it is just outside of Bristol ) and Thruxton on day trips. Do we take in hill climb and major karting venues after that?....who knows??

LOL, 'never snows in Helsingborg'  lol  Whoever told you that must have been pulling your leg.  Car problems are not uncommon on these trips, but as long as they're manageable, you could say it's part of the adventure Smiley  All cars made it all the way home, bar one 911 with start problems. It went from Vienna to Hamburg on the car train, drove from Hamburg to Puttgarten and got across on the ferry before giving up the ghost and having to be left.

Clive, are you just doing circuits which hold car racing or do you include bike circuits as well?

Have you done Lydden Hill yet? Other circuits which are only used by bikes as far as I know are Darley Moor, Scarborough, East Fortune & Aintree. There are others if you include Northern Ireland & the Isle of Man.

Only ones I haven't visited are Anglesey, Darley, East Fortune & Aintree. Am spreading my wings a bit now & doing a few foreign ones.

So far the Grand Plan is just to do the UK car circuits, especially those that run any historic event, but we did do Croft when the BTCC hooligans were racing.
Also Rockingham was hosting the Formula 4's and the British GT championship,  complete with Bentleys and Lamborginis!!  the budgets of those teams must be well into the millions for a whole season.
Cadwell Park was a bit of a cheat really because it was a free practice day for bikes, but we were in the area and the chance to tick off another venue was too good to miss.
Lydden Hill has been mentioned ( I think they do Rallycross there too), but we try and plan weekends where we can hit 2 ( or more) circuits in one trip/weekend and Lydden is one of those that is "in the wrong place" geographically ( bearing in mind we start from Tavistock and Bristol).

I did go to Donington when the pre-season British Superbikes practice session was taking place and it was absolutely bl**dy freezing with horizontal rain and many of the riders refused to risk their bikes, and their necks, on cold tyres and a wet track. One or two of those who did venture out regretted it, and discovered the softer bits of grass at the bottom of the Craner Curves very welcoming!! A second visit later in the year to watch some vintage racers and Historic saloons was more enjoyable...but it still rained for part of the day!.

No plans to travel overseas atm, but once we have ticked off the obvious list of tracks we might broaden our horizons and go to I.O.M., Mondello and who knows maybe Spa, Zandvoort etc.
