Pit stops: Not required

Server: simracing.org.uk Wednesday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Note early race start.

A little perplexed......I know that there is nothing new there  Roll Eyes

I have made two attempts to install the Nissan.
The download was OK, and the install appeared to complete properly. But when I go to the track/server and search for the GTR 2000???.................................................................... cannot find the 2000, only the original 1600???

or is it me again???

Clive, the car is called Nissan Skyline GTR. Does it appear in your Garage or in your Car Dealer?

IMPORTANT

We seem to be getting more than our fair share of miss match messages on race nights.

If you believe that you may be the cause of a miss match message please consider doing the following.

In your GTL install go to GameData and seek out a file called SIM_GTC.gdb. Rename it using Notepad to SIM_GTC.saf

You will get a warning message but proceed anyway.

Download this http://www.mediafire.com/file/eleijat33brb5bv/SIM_GTC.gdb/file and put the content into your GameData folder.

Should you ever need your original .gdb file simply reverse the steps outlined above.

Thanks

Results and replay now posted.

Dominick is DQ'd for using more drives in the Nissan than allocated to him, but as his points scored in no way affect the Championship, no further action will be necessary.

Had a cracking start of the line and I think I even made it up 4th place. Then at turn 4 or 5 I ran out of talent and everyone went past. Spent the remainder of the race worrying Bob in his Commode. I did eventualy get past but enjoyed our battle Bob (as usual).

Result_Race1

Cool

As far as I remember this was a new track for me.  Huh  Without any practice and with no online setups for any of the cars available
I was far from being competitive, the more I don't like this version of Kyalami at all except Turn 4 (Budget) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyalami - which allowed some nice sliding in the Beemer.

Nevertheless I joined the race but couldn't avoid Dominik in lap 2, damaged my suspension and eventually was forced to retire.
After that there was no motivation left  to rejoin for race 2  Tongue

(as I can see from the result I left after one lap but in fact I tried to go on for - I don't know - two, or three further laps. So again a kind of  a mysterious issue. I assume that due to cut warnings these further laps were not counted. Would like to see a modification of the "Autosimanalyzer"
software but I fear that the developer doesn't work on it for long years)

Anyway - thanks to all involved for organizing this great series  and congratulations to Ziu for the championship, Erling for 2nd and  Geoffers for 3rd

Grats to the series top three and also the podium for this race.  I never could get the Opel to handle the way I wanted.  If I set it up for a good corner entry then it wanted to oversteer in the middle or exit ending with good odds on a spin.  Went with early braking and slow to the apex and then try for a good exit.  In both races I had someone in sight ahead or a car in my mirror trying to get by me.   Good racing almost all the time from someone.  Enjoyed the series, thanks to Tony for that.
On to LeMans where I am going to try the bad a$$ Massey.  Didn't run it early on before it was banned so will give it a try, and hope to be around at the end.

Edit to Tony:  Enjoy your retirement...I took a early out of the workforce at age 62.  People said I would be bored to death, but did not happen to me.  I took over most of the domestic duties around the house, wife is younger so kept working, and did some volunteer work at the local veterans home.
Even learned how to run the clothes washing machine, dryer, ect!!!
