Car restrictions: The most popular model used at this event will be dropped from the list of cars available for future races. If two or more models tie for most popular, then the highest finishing model will be dropped. The final race of the series will be "free choice" and all car models will be available.

Time of Day Setting: 05:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: 2x
Pit stops: Required

Server: simracing.org.uk Mondays

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

This track is the latest version. Your locations folder should contain a track called Bremgarten 54.

Will be missing this race as I return from a week's holiday in Cornwall late Saturday. I will also miss the race on Monday 16 April - in Cornwall, Polgooth (near St Austell). Grin

Great circuit for these cars but it can catch you out. In awe at the times some folk were doing in their Merc 300SLR's. I just couldn't match those times. Shame we lost so many during this event but that's Endurance racing for you.
Next is Monza which may see a couple of Ferrari's on the grid  Wink and it will be in daylight (honest).

Surprise!! Surprise!!  That was me when we went  to race.  Who turned out the lights.....Didn't read the thread that close and missed the start time of 5:00.  My dear wife of almost 50 years has always reminded me of anything that required "some assembly" --Did you read the instructions?   Guess she knows me well.  Anyway after a couple of laps I found my brake points and all was well, gotta love those blue porta-potties. Sorry to Geoff for not seeing him in my mirror when he lapped me, didn't mean to hold you up....Also sorry for those who dropped out, very tough race and really are no resting places on this one.  Gotta be attentive for the whole lap, I was really  burn't out after this one thats for sure. See you all at Silverstone in the beasties......

Sad to see that we yet again have big drama here, but will refrain from more comments for the time being, on what I assume is an ongoing case.

Great track as Tony said, albeit very treacherous, with multiple options for getting it very wrong - including some bizarre ones; during practice, I went off and ended up inside a building. Walls were completely traversal going in, but once inside, they turned solid and I couldn't get out again..  Roll Eyes

Hadn't noticed the 5 AM start time, so in for a nasty surprise when Tony reminded us from the server in pre-race praccy.  Still some time left, so went offline to do a few laps under those lighting conditions - thanks for the timely heads up Tony  thumbup1

Improved pb during qual, going below 2:20 for the first time, but still far off Ziu's time.  Half bad start from me saw Geoffers slip in front, but easy to pass him late in the lap, with the straight line speed of the SLR vs Healey.   Over the next laps, gaps to Ziu in front and Geoff behind stretched equally, but then I came upon a recovering Ziu and grabbed the lead.  With him behind, there was no option but throw caution to the wind and go as fast as I could.  Remained in front for a few laps, until he did his early stop. Dunno what went wrong for him. It was suggested in post-race chat that maybe he got a stop-n-go without noticing, so maybe that was why he couldn't refuel ?

With Ziu's untimely exit, the race turned lonely and a lot less exiting. Could relax a bit, to avoid making unnecessary mistakes. Pit at the end of L18 for a splash-n-dash.  Grats to Geoffers & Bob for filling the podium, and Tony for completing it.  Shame about the high attrition, but guess that's a characteristic of this track.

Fairly lonely race for me. Got ahead of Erling at the start but it only lasted until the end of the lap when his Merc powered past & he disappeared into the distance after Ziu. Rest of the race uneventful except for clipping the bank just after the jump. So came in a distant 2nd after Ziu's demise.

Congrats to Erling  clap I Am Not Worthy & well done to Bob & Tony completing the finishers  clap clap

I had no opportunity to practice for this race, but that is nothing new. However, why I chose to drive the 55 D type might need to be investigated by a psychiatrist!!
I think that I was sub consciously saving better cars for later races? but of course that is not how this series works  Undecided Huh Huh

I wrestled with the beast through practice and quali and "sort of" got it working. It was OK when I had a clear track and could pick my braking points and lines, but once the race started I was seriously struggling to a) maintain a reasonable pace and b) keep the car on track.
Within 2 laps I had 3 cut track warnings and a SnG!! and once I restarted I just lost the plot and also lost the track completely in the forest, finding myself the wrong side of a fence and completely lost. So I walked home through the woods  Wink

Grats to those who finished and to those who tasted champagne.
