I was absent because I am stuck in toy town, otherwise known as Milton Keynes this week, sitting a course
I probably don't need  Sad

Did you drive there and go on the magic roundabout!!!  Roll Eyes lol

My most enjoyable race night for donkey's years! Made good use of clutch on start and other driver's misfortunes to be in 3rd at end of first  lap, only to go too fast into a corner and into the kitty litter! After that I had battles with Clive and Bob for the rest of the race, thanks for the sportsmanship and clean racing. Clive where would you like me to send a couple of door handles?  Grin Wink

Did that a couple of years ago in Scotland; we were 6 guys in 4 rented old British sports cars. Hairy for sure, but helped that all the cars were RHD, so you were constantly reminded something was different. All of them had stickers in the top right corner of the windscreen, showing the right way through a Roundabout, for the benefit of continental drivers..  Cheesy

Race 1:
Picked the TCR.  Never got round to trying the Pirin, so didn't know how fast it would be.  When Geoffers showed up in one during pre-race praccy and chased me on track, I begrudgingly had to acknowledge that it was faster than my TCR, at least in his all to capable hands. Dipped into the 1:26 laps for the first time in praccy, but couldn't repeat it in qual - not that it would have changed my grid pos.

Surprised to outdrag Geoffers into T1 and would have had a hard time staying in front, but then my two worst competitors took each other off. That probably gifted me the win, but also made for a lonely race, bar the first couple of laps.

Race 2:
Went for the Simca here.  Tried all to tame its wayward rear end in setup, but only made it worse.  Had to do it with driving instead, but regrettably I sucked as much at driving it, as I did setting it up. Thus far down the field, but with only 3 Class B cars present, the worst I could do was 3rd in Class. With a little luck I might even stay ahead of Bob and claim 2nd.

Kurt was slow off the line, so had to steer around him, all the while Bill blasted past in his TCR.  Tony had an off on L1, advancing me one place.  Kurt was looking for a way past as Tony caught up.  The two gents seemingly had an argument over who should overtake me first.  Tony won and disappeared.  Kurt eventually got pas too, but we swapped places a couple of times before he parked it in the barrier and retired Sad

Chased after Bill for the rest of the race.  Got closer at times, but never in a position to challenge him.  Came home in a lowly 8th place, but 2nd in class so can't complain.  Grats to all podium finishers.

Did you use Mckinley Kidd to do this. I have used them in the past for Scottish themed tours. I saw that they did classic car tours too. What cars did you guys have?

no idea who they were, but the next day we were at the Lizard and they all rolled by in their
various MGs, they were a German MG car club!  thumbup1

No, we used Caledonian; http://www.caledonianclassics.co.uk/

We had an E-Type Coupe, a Caterham, a Triumph TR6 and a Triumph Stag.  Seems they got rid of the Stag & Caterham, but still have the TR6 & E-Type. (It was the same pale blue & Primrose yellow cars we had, as the ones on their website currently)  Could post some pics from the trip if anyone is interested.

During the summer months, Wiltshire is invaded by hordes of German plated Morgans, in convoys, all making a pilgrimage to Malvern and the Morgan Factory.
