Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: No practice password. Please use usual race password.

Great track-car combo.

Fun chasing Geoffers in the smaller car. Had to slow down a bit as I feared getting short of fuel during the second half of the race.

Thanks for organizing to all involved.

There appears to be a problem with the Class scoring feature so the Champ tables are a bit out of whack.

Please bear with us and we will get these sorted asap.

EDIT: I think the class scores are now corrected.

No, I was in a Class B car.

Actually, the points for Zandvoort are also incorrect, as all the drivers who used the Abarth TC Corsa are classed as being in Class A.

Apologies to Geoffers and everyone else for being confused at the start of Qualifying  Roll Eyes.

Once again I had not read the race post correctly ( how can such a thing happen???) and somehow in my head this was a double header with Class A cars in the first race and Class B cars in a second race. If my single brain cell had been awake at that time in the evening, I should have realised that 2 races of 14 laps with a 2:40 lap time was just not going to happen  Undecided.

Add to that Arnold's total incompetence in loading the Simca Abarth 6 speed car, then installing a Fiat Abarth 1000 TC setup from the Zandvoort race. It took me at least 15 minutes of gearbox rebuilding and ratio changes before the "unavoidable error" was spotted!!! Shortly afterwards Arnold was spotted too, vaulting over the perimeter fence and heading for the coast!!!

So, when I tried to help Geoffers by pointing out that he had the wrong car, I should have been checking which ruddy rollerskate I was sitting in!!!

Did not try to get force quali as the setup that was rapidly cobbled together was untried, and so was my ability to drive it.  Got a reasonable start and found myself mid field by T3 in a car that was definitely not meant to be there. But hey!! go with the flow and drive the whell nuts off the thing. I held up Bob for a couple of laps and eventually ambition exceeded ability and I ran onto the grass allowing everyone to get past.

I took my rightful place at the rear of the field just planning to finish the race and gradually the laptimes improved as I found better lines and better gears. Then passed Matt's car parked in the road?Huh and expected him to recover and catch me, but I see now that he had a disco ( hard luck Matt)
My fuel had been quickly calculated from a couple of qualifying laps as we went to the grid, but now that I was hustling this noisy little box around some 3 secs a lap quicker, it became obvious at around 12 laps that I would not make the finish at that pace. Backing off for 4 laps also showed that the damage had been done and I would be at least a lap short even if I let Ziu lap me.  Undecided
After Ziu went past I dropped to tickover mode and crawled along, but as Erling was closing I opted to quit and get out of the way.

Grats to the podium and the finishers. next time I will read the race post properly...honest I will!! Cool

A couple of surprises in this race.  First was when I got jumped by damn near all the Abarths at the start - even Geoffer's slow one.  Is the Pirin Fiat really that slow off the mark ?  Not really much room trying to achieve a perfect start - even at max revs in 1st, it wouldn't spin its wheels when you dumped the clutch.

Geoffers knocked someone into a spin in one of the first corners and then waited, letting me regain two places, to be 3rd behind Matt.  To my (2nd) surprise, his Abarth was quicker in a straight line than my car.  Tried slipstreaming him, but apparently his car was too small for that to work  Wink  On the other hand he had no problem doing it when I briefly got in front, after he had a moment in a corner.  I could lap faster, but only had the edge through corners, so as long as he didn't run wide or made other mistakes, there wasn't much I could do.

Then his car froze in front of me.  Couldn't avoid hitting him, but fortunately for me, his car was only semi solid, so no damage done.  Race then utterly lonely and boring for the remaining 2/3.  Tried improving my fastest lap, despite increasingly worn tyres, just to have some kind of goal.  With a few laps remaining, I caught a glimpse of Clive's name tag, seemingly not too far ahead. Knowing how much he hates being lapped by me, that immediately became my new goal  Grin   Alas, he wasn't as close as I thought, and in any case, he defected to the pits before it could come to fruition..  Wink

Grats to Ziu for the win and Roger for completing the podium.  Commiserations to Matt, for an interesting race cut short.

Ok, probably will not get this fixed until I get home. But I will keep trying to find a solution before then. Please bear with me.

I really had this race read all wrong.  I thought it would be a boring drive the track all by myself affair.  Just the opposite however.  Had cars around me the entire race from the drop of the green flag till the checker.  At the start had Clive and Kurt close and after that I dogged Roger.  Put some pressure on him almost the entire race but he just wouldn't make a mistake.  We were very evenly matched, both in TCR's, we must have  had different gears so he was faster on the straights but I could close in the curvies for some reason.  With about 3 laps to go I really gave it my best shot to get around him.  Got side by side a couple of times but he always had the driving line so I had  to let up at the corners.  Didn't need a collision to ruin both our days. Great driving Roger!!!  About that time Geoff appeared in my mirror in his Corsa and was gaining time on us fast.  On the last lap after the big left hand sweeper he was close enough so I could see in his front glass that he had a white headband on with a Red spot and was on a Kamakazii  mission.  I just cut the grass in the left hand part of the chicane and came out ahead.  Looked in my mirror as we entered the S/F straight and he had got sideways and scuffed the wall. Valiant try Geoff in a supposedly slower "B" car.  This old guy was completely burnt out after the race thats for sure, but gooood fun!  Sorry to Matt for his disco, seems like we have had alot of that this year for some reason..........
