Simca 1150 Abarth Download this

Car restrictions: Three drives per car, six drives per class. For details click HERE

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org Wednesday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

Hello Gents,

I might be able to join you (if this is OK with you), for 1 or both races, but I have a few questions  Huh
1. what's a decent time around this track ? (I never really practised GTL nor Zolder except for the last few days, and something like 2'02 seems to be the best I can achieve)
2. I see that the series has sophisticated rules regarding car choice and I don't really get the class A & B part... Based on my very limited skills would it be possible for me to run both races with the same car ? (or is it one race for class A, the other one for class B ?)
3. If I need to use 2 cars, what would you recommend? (I can now handle the Fiat Pirin but struggle with the Abarth  Embarrassed )

The good point is that I was able to run a few laps on your practice server today, so my setup is OK (that's a starting point  Wink  )

Thanks in advance

Hi Patrick and welcome to UKGTL.

Of course you may join any of our events. Your time seems pretty good although some here will always suprise you  alien

You can run the same car in both races, run different cars but same class or run different cars, different classes, entirely up to you. Some of our drivers have a limited choice at this part of the season due to their previous selections.

I hope that you enjoy your time racing with us and hopefully we will meet online soon.

Cheers

Tony

PS The next round of the Auto Tuner Cup at Silverstone National promises to be a good night for some close action racing

Thanks a lot Tony  Smiley

If everything goes as planned I should attend tomorrow Cool and I look forward to it.
The only lap times that could surprise me would be... slower ones  Wink but I do not expect to witness anything like that soon  Grin

Hi SC
I'm a middle to back of the pack guy and my best time is in the 1000TCR @ 1:56 and 2:02 in the 1000TC Corsa.  These are my choices for the race.  I was always told the key to this track is making a straight line as possible out of the chicane on the fast back straight.  Catch as much grass and sand as possible without getting a cut warning.  Tony is absent so he can't yell at you!

See you at the track

Tried the slowest car only (Abarth Simca 1150) and I was able to improve to nearly 2:05.
Will use some other untested for race 2.

Thanks all for the replies and the tips  Smiley
I should probably try a bit harder with the Abarth's, but with it I spend to much time "gardening"  Grin
I'll probably stick with the Pirin Fiat for tonight.

See you !
