Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

IMPORTANT

It appears that "This series requires a standalone install of GTL" isn't explicit enough.

As this carset requires it's own class to be set up we need to revise the SIM_GTC.gdb file to reflect this class addition.

This is why this series requires a GTL install for itself. Do not revise the SIM_GTC.gdb file for any other series or hope to get away with using one install for all of this years series.

You will receive online miss match messages if you fail to heed the above.

I hope this is now clear.

Oh booger!!!!!!

Just when I thought I had everything sorted and running smoothly in GTL with my "all-in-one" GTL folder Undecided

Well at least with the extra hard disk space on my new rig I can create another "clean install" and try this .........................stand well back and shield your ears. Wink

Well, I just took the SIM_GTC.gdb  file from the link above renamed it to SIM_GTC.gdb.LMC.
I then copied my existing SIM_GTC.gdb  file and called it SIM_GTC.gdb.original.

Now I just. . . . .
Copy SIM_GTC.gdb.original to SIM_GTC.gdb  for normal races
- or -
Copy SIM_GTC.gdb.LMC to SIM_GTC.gdb  for the LMC series

Seems to work ok for me. and saves yet another GTL install.

That will work too, but what saving is made by not having another GTL install?

Absolutely none at all  lol

It's just that I have a GTL base (For emergencies), Altbiebude, UKGTL, a Master copy (Which contains everything from Evo, Trackaholics, UKGTL, nogrip + anything else I have found) a Development copy (For stuff I mess around with for myself and others) plus another development copy (Incase I screw up the "real" development copy).  stupid

Ok... followed the destructions for this series..

1) new clean install
2) install car pack
3) d/load and copy in the SIM_GTC.gdb file.

But.... ( you knew this was coming didn't you?  Wink ) I have not attempted to run this install yet because I got a message informing me that I did not have the Porsche 917K installed on my system and that would prevent the 917L car being available??

Should I already have had that 917K? or should I download and install from the usual source?

I will investigate but.................

I suspect that you have downloaded the wrong file.

Try this link and see if you get the same messages please https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=3358.msg54520#post_lemansclassics
