I've exchanged messages with Stefan Roess at GPL Racer & they have accepted the challenge of an inter league race against UKGPL in the 55 mod.
All the details will be confirmed in due course. Suggested time is 20.30 GMT on Sunday 7th January 2018.
I need as many of you to register - but please only do so if you expect to be available.
Track will probably be Zandvoort (neutral ground between the UK & Germany!) but mainly because the brake wear isn't that bad.
I think that we can enter two teams each, so there should be two grids. This is open to the whole membership, including aliens & gentlemen drivers like myself, even non-regulars.
You will obviously all want to represent UKGPL at this prestigious event. I believe we have a few more members so we might lend GPL Racer a couple of drivers.
Each team will not be able to enter more than one of the same chassis on each grid. The 55 mod has 9 different cars, so we can run 2 grids of 18 cars.
As the UKGPL organiser I will allocate drivers to teams & cars. Provided GPL Racer will do the same I will mix up the fastest & slower drivers between the two UKGPL teams & give the slower cars to the fastest drivers.
What I need you to do is to post here to confirm your entry by 31 December.
Also please let me know if you are willing to drive for GPL Racer, perhaps because you have driven with them before.
If I don't hear from you before, have a great Christmas break.

Happy to drive for Racer if required as I've done their 55mod series.
I've signed up for the Racer Squad and would be surprised if they can raise two nine man teams.

Count me in please Bill. As one of the slower drivers, I'm happy to make way for the faster UKGPL drivers if we are oversubscribed.

Phil / Fran, the idea is to run two grids. That we should be able to accommodate just about everyone. This does depend on getting a good turnout, I am expecting all our regulars to support this. At the moment I am counting about 8, so room for plenty more.
Jethro, I chose Zandvoort because drivers will have to manage their brakes. They will be red after Tarzan but they can cool off during the twisty section. (BTW were you just commenting about the brake issue or was that a sign up?)
