Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit stops: Not required

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

In this race we will be voting to curtail the practice session and to skip qualy.

Please, when the voting message's appear, be in the chat room and vote.

Then we can get on with the racing asap.

Thank you

Enjoyed all three races last night and it was revealing to see how different ability drivers coped with the three very different car makes. Great looking grids and it looked like some very good battles developed throughout all of the races.

I acknowledge that some of you are dissatisfied with the evenings format with regards to the qualy/no qualy thang.

I would like to propose therefore that the format is changed to introduce a 5 minute (longer for some circuits) qualy session for each race with every driver doing one hot lap.

But I won't change anything until I've received some feedback.

Is what I was thinking. Move on to qually when finished waiting for people to join, then
enough quall time for one out lap and one flying lap, if you screw up your flying lap tough
that will larn ya!

I m agree Tony,  5 minutes to do the death lap it s better than get the confusion of yesterday

Wholly prefer a shortened qual session to none at all, especially if the grid isn't random after all, if someone sets a praccy time.

Or could base Grid Positions on finishing order in previous race?  whistling

If only, if only. I can be set up but it's like herding cats; drivers have to leave in order, go backwards until they get DQ'd then we can manufacture a reverse grid.

Tony, I think if you want a random grid, you need to get everyone on the server & let them do a couple of practice laps,  then instead of going to next session, you need to go to next event, then it will reload everyone in random order. Then vote through to race.

Another option would be to have as you say to have a 5 min qually session, maybe the podium guys from the previous race could start at the back.
