Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None.

Results and replay now posted. Note that results do not match race # but if you remember which car you ran in each race you should be able to sort out the correct race order. Sorry about that, dam Gremlins.

Liked this track a lot. Made a cracking start to R1 with the Imp, as you might expect, but after passing a few cars then, soon got well behind as I spun the little beast a few times here and there, and ended up binning it against the barrier with the finish line in sight!  R2 and the Anglia, and an even better start; up to 2nd by the first bend (but not for long!) and then it all kicked off when I found an Imp across the track, and hit that, survived that but then someone spun me out, and a quick recovery went pear-shaped when I found another car stopped in the middle of the track, and hit it squarely up the bum (sorry about that, whoever it was!) and rolled over, luckily all the way and with no apparent damage. All the attrition - saw a few other folk come a cropper en route - at least handed me a few points.  Finally, the Mini, and I am just dead slow in the 970, though I finally found a set-up I liked and made it nice to drive, so tail-end Charlie rides again.....   Next time!

Bit of a mixed bag for me Monday.

Race one:
Picked the Anglia and qualified 3rd, behind the Minis of Ziu & Geoffers.  Had expected to jump at least one of the little fwd boxes at the start, but the two gents were too skilled and kept their places.  Hung on behind them, with an intent Clive snapping at my heels.  Saw him spin in my mirror after a few laps, and then sadly disconnect.

Caught up to Geoffers in the Mini, but not easy to try for a pass, before he went wide into the big hairpin. I picked a very tight inner line, and just as I thought I had passed him, I felt a very light tap and saw his car spin in my mirror. Since I couldn't see his car in my field of view at all, my impression was that he hit me rather than the other way round, and thus I didn't wait.  Looking at the replay, it seems he tightened his line, so it converged with mine. Can't see his cockpit view, but my guess is he couldn't see me either.  Would file it as a racing incident, but if you disagree Geoff, then please submit a report.

Chased after Ziu then. Late in the race, just as we caught a backmarker, he spun in front of Ziu, who couldn't avoid him and lost momentum. I barely managed to swerve around them, grabbing the lead. Held it to the finish.  Grats to Ziu & Bob for completing the podium.

Race two:
Steering wheel was acting strangely in the setup and chat screens, pulsating, vibrating and turning slowly.  Culminated when I joined the grid and found GTL no longer responding to the wheel input. Wasn't fixed by jumping in and out of the grid, so no other option than to quit.  Went straight to an offline praccy, where it worked again.  Restarted PC just in case and waited for race three.

Race three:
Third on grid behind Ziu & Geoffers again. Grabbed the lead with the Imp's slingshot start.  Had lapped faster offline than Geoffers & Ziu's qual times, so surprised by the apparent ease with which they both passed me again on L1.  Couldn't quite match their speeds, but then after a few laps, I saw Geoffers tumbling along the billboards at the big hairpin.  This I had nothing to do with  Wink  Grabbed 2nd and set off after Ziu.  Late in the race, I found him reversing at the small hairpin and snatched the lead.  He got going again fast and was soon on my tail.  Next lap I got held up by a backmarker, losing the lead when Ziu seized the opportunity to get past.  Doubtful I could have retained it to the end, as Ziu was faster, so probably not much harm done.  Grats to Ziu on winning and to Geoffers for filling the podium.

No problem Erling, my fault for running wide & as you say I tightened my line & drove into you as you appeared on my left. Odd thing was when your car clipped mine, my car actually spun the opposite way to what it should have, to the left instead of the right, so I ended up facing the wrong way. Just the way my Monday nights seem to go at present, always something messes up the race after promising qualifying. Oh well on to Hockenheim!
