How have you all got so quick?

Having been driven off the track by Matt, then having gone wide at the Schumacher S on the grass, staying of the accel to not spin on the grass, Alexy does the same but keeps his foot in and hits the back of me! I then go off as I watch Alexy attempting a pass into the final chicane and panic as I could felt it was going to end badly but paniced and spun it myself. It was clear I was firmly at the back of the field. Had clawed my way back to Stefan and was enjoying chasing him but spun in the final chicane with 5 mins to go and lost all enthusiasm.

Did I drive you off the track? I didn't notice. I will have a look at the replay, sorry if I did  hang

Alexy passed me in the final chicane as well, and I was worried about contact, I braked a bit early to
give him room, but was still a worry, but he just went round the outside like a true pro, and didn't seem
to cause him any grief at all  I Am Not Worthy

I felt I did quite well last night despite finishing "only" 7th. Smiley

I managed a whopping 15 minutes practice and it meant I had a sort of half baked setup prepared. (I took the setup from the last round and tweaked it a little bit Wink).  laugh

In qually, I was pretty close to the front 6 with softs on and so I thought I would be in no-mans land during the race as there was a chunk of time to the cars behind me. No, not so. On mediums the car was a real handful (fun!) but I was a lot slower into the braking especially whilst others like FMG and Mark were better on mediums than their qually times had suggested they would be, so I ended up having a race with them both and never saw the top 5 again. Cool

I really wanted to adjust the brake balance during the race to see if it would help my braking issues, but to my disappointment found I couldn't adjust it. Perhaps my ABS is too high?! it was on default (4 i think). I think my BB was on 56%?

Anyway, having finally succumbed to FMG it looked like Mark would get me, but just after he overtook me he left the door wide open and invited me through when I was only half chancing it. It was enough to get me back in front of him and it took all my effort to stay there, eventually getting back near FMG near the end (as he struggled even more towards the end).

I was thinking about softs for the race as the mediums are shagged during the race anyway, so maybe softs are worth it for the extra pace if they are as worn as mediums by the end?

Anyway, it was good fun again and I look forward to the next round.

BB is not ajustable in this car from cockpit. Only in garage before the race  Smiley
Softs is not suit here. Qualy only

My race was decided by a bad quali. It was the only way to have some chance to gain a place.

The only moment of fun was at the second corner, when I passed Baikal, and at the third corner I received a nudge by him, but luckily I was able to control the rear and avoid a spin.

Everything else was pure boredom, stucked in a limbo between the fantastic 4 and the followers.
Grats to nfsw, Felix and Maikel for the podium.

Will surely jump the next one, cause there will be the Italy cup match between my SS Lazio vs AC Milan on 31 Jan. See you in a month with the 599XX Wink

Quite a surprising race for me.

Didn't expect to qualify first, but my lap was nearly "perfect" and the car was great on soft tires.

I went very conservative for the first laps because I had no idea how the car handles with cold tires after missing the first round two weeks ago.
Once the tires heated up I got in a nice rythm and tried to push to keep Felix behind. This worked quite well, but no chance to open up a gap to him.
I had the feeling that I was able to gain a few tenths in the first half of the track and Felix was able to close the gap again in the second half, so we were always very close together, but not really in an attack-and-defend-mode, so we didn't slow each other down.
Nevertheless the whole race was really intense for me. No time to "rest" and especially the last laps were a nightmare cause I wasn't sure if I had enough fuel onboard (later realized that I probably had enough for a further lap Roll Eyes  )

Interested to see how the ballast will effect the laptimes for the next round Smiley

btw: I never thought that the Ferrari is so lovely (and lively Grin) to drive, great car choice Jeffrey Wink

Neither did I. Other hypercars are horrible in AC, but this one was a pleasant surprise. I just tried it based on its looks, so no real science was used in the picking  Grin.

Not agree with you. I remember P1 for example was ok for me , may be not only P1  Wink Need test. Simply: hi- tech cars is an other world, coming true and we must to know how they driving, and try to find a fun with it, IMO. P1 was point for me. I believe Kunos and Aris here.  Smiley

The fxx was never really built to be a “hypercar” is was just a no rules, track only varient of the 599gto, much like the enzo fxx is a track only, no rules varient of the enzo..

That and the zonda r was (in old builds at least) quite a reasonable match to the fxx, i think just edging it in terms of pace.
