I’m still about 2 secs off though in qually trim yet alone race.. You are not alone ( c) Michael Jackson . You will drive with me ! But be warned- i am using my own gears ( because can't improve lap time yet 0,001 ) Take a good distance to my car, guys! Combo is beautifull but i cant be fast and stabil here. So, choice will be stability as more as possible with maximum aero Mark, i know the cause of all our troubles- you and i in sum have 100 + years old

Interesting to see listed on Stracker is that people are running with downshift assistance on! I've only ever run with auto clutch on but in these manual shifting cars I've always struggled with actually driving them. Tried switching it on yesterday which certainly helped in some circumstances.
didn't run many laps last night but was certainly noticeable how the wear level had dropped in the tyres. only tried half a lap on hards but certainly felt the difference on the front end. Think I might stick to mediums.

I think it's an error in stracker, as quite a few run H-pattern and I'm fairly sure that's all without autoclutch. There was a way to turn off autoblip somewhere in a config file, but I never noticed the difference when I altered that.

These cars should be driven full manual. The heel-toe is a simple technique, you can learn it in a short time (indeed should teach before getting a driver's license).

It's so sorry that i am using paddles here. And Autoblip. Long time i driving online ( approx 10 years) and doing it at night time. Too loud rumble in gearbox shifts is bad things at nights for other peoples around. I using H-Shifter only when day fun in brilliant great dirt rally game. Yes, i know that cars which is containing manual shifting is goes faster ( paddles are adding a extra time for shifts in car code). But this is my way and i found my own fun when driving this cars anyway.

With the H-shifter I guess Autoblip is not allowed. With this car is surely a bit easier to downshift if compared to the Lotus 25 in which I broke a lot of gearbox during my tests.

In 2 minds how to race tonight, I'm only slightly slower in the Rift - and as said the experience is awesome - but actually having to use the mirrors properly and not having the warning arrows easily visible makes me worry I might become a hazard. And recommendations from our resident VR users?

I was considering that for this race but prefer racing 'naturally'. When I give the Rift back to my friend the only reason I'll even have the virtual mirror on is because I can't see the real ones in normal 2D mode I'm quite enjoying having to physically look left and right to check then on the straights in the rift. But for a one off while it's new to me I think I should maybe try Helicorsa.... I can always turn it off once the pack thins out I guess

When I got the Rift I was determined to race "naturally" and use mirrors, look about etc. But then I realised I was a danger to others. It's a balance between real immersion and not losing too many friends.

I just use the rift with nothing else on, probably why I'm always in the way. The drivers side mirror is OK but the offside is awkward to see. But that's how its supposed to be, its a simulation after all.

Sigh, was wayyy off thepace, even mor than usual. I don't understand how people can go round the corners so mych faster on hards when I' on softs or meds. Avoided all the accidents, and had someone on my blind right corner, and got off line spun, then waited to join, but joined clumsily and by the time I had got going again I was a road block, and someone drove in to me, so left in disgust.
