And yes, fuel is very tight, shouldn't a lap limit be applied rather than leaving it to chance we can finish? Guess it depends how fast you front few are in race trim.  Undecided  If someone runs a tad higher wing I am not even sure they will make it to the finish. ( I tested with 3 wing).

Is fuel really that tight? IIRC I used 3.3L a lap and race will be around 27 laps so that's around 90L.

There won't be a lap limit just like at Monza. People can opt to save a bit of fuel during the race or a pitstop. Smiley
Oooops... If leaders will have 27 laps then i have a biggest race tactic dilemma i ever remembering...

I did some laps yesterday eve and i was at around 3.74L a lap... So i will be taking off the rear view mirrors, the rear wing and running 50 PSI tire pressure!  Tongue

Grin. Guess I'll need to look at it tomorrow, but I liked the added strategy like at monza, so if people want to put then it's an option, but not mandatory.

This one isn't even hard to budget for  Wink
Currently I have enough fuel for 42 minutes flat out - so unless I burn more on the server I'm go  Tongue

Oddly I am burning more on the server - although my setup is very different to offline for some reason so I'll need to fix that first....
Looks like it will be an interesting race Grin

I’d rather race than worry about running out of fuel after 39 minutes  Undecided but guess we are all in the same boat.

Go for mediums and a pitstop. No need to worry about fuel and you are on your preferred tyre Wink.

I'm more worried I'm 2 seconds a lap slower than the front few  Cry I don't know how you guys are squeezing so much more pace out of this car, I just get understeer everywhere and if I try to install a bit more oversteer it just gets unstable. Oh well, too late now, maybe when I'm stuck in my usual no mans land I can coast a bit more and save fuel  Wink

Obvious facts:
- The guys in front will done 27 laps.
- I must to do the same , otherwise i 'll be lapped.
- To make a 27 laps i need a pitstop and drive without rails helps
 Grin
Mark, try to use full negative toe in rear. It will help with understeer  Smiley

This thing of saving fuel and prepare a strategy in a race of about 40 mins is a nonsense.

In this way you are managing to transform a great 'historic' single make champ in a modern F1 MGUK madness fuel saving race.
I save fuel every day in Rome because of the moon holes of our roads going 30 km/h on average in 3rd or 4th gear, but I thought we were here for racing with the right foot well planted on the throttle.
If in two Temples of SPEED our main concern is to save virtual fuel, even if we are all in the same boat, there must be something wrong.

I had no time to prepare a strategy to save 0.1 virtual litre per lap, so when my fuel will finish I will park my car on the grass. So this is my strategy: if I finish the fuel every driver behind me will gain a place at the end of the race. I'm getting really too kind in this last period  Lips Sealed

Matteo, just do a proper pitstop and continue to flatout  Wink I don't see a bad things here. Because of champ race regulation . Smiley

I’m with Manteos on this fwiw, Daft doing fuel saving for a 40min race  Roll Eyes

You can’t really do a fuel stop here as it’s such a fast track you will lose too much time. I’ll park next to manteos on the last lap  Grin. Though if I have a -2 sec a lap deficit I’ll be lapped anyway and have enough fuel  Cry

Thanks for the rear-toe tip will try that. I had already moved it to negative as for some reason it was positive, but sounds like I need to increase it more.

I did a test yesterday and it's not that difficult to make the whole race. You need to target 3.5-3.7 L/lap and to get it just simply coast a bit before each braking point and don't use 3rd that often. I'll be around half a second slower per lap.

Interesting thanks, always struggling to work out what to do reduce the 20km/h corner speed deficit, without putting too much oversteer into the car!
