(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the rules about in-game chat messages. (3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally) (4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit. Just done a bit of praccy for tomorrow nights race, these cars a bit of a handful, especially in the fast sections!
@phspok, I am a bit confused about the race date, it says 15 feb at the top of the thread but 25th Jan in the championship page. Is the race tomorrow night?

It's definitely tonight Stephen, ta for the heads up. I think when I first entered the events I made a mistake with the dates.

And the times? We are not in BST yet!
This combo is going to be tough; never got on with the track and the car seems less than fun! And no time to practise before the race.

Heck you lot want everything. You'l be asking for a car choice next Part laziness, part senile dementure, but the pages are automatically copied from previous ones so stuff may be in them that was not intended. On a good day I spot it and edit, but on a bad day, like I am rushing for a train stuff gets missed.

Good race, Thanks to all who turned up Glad you came along Stephen, gave me someone to race for a change I was surprised that John reckoned these cars are hard. Plainly I am not going as fast but the only thing I struggle with is the braking. And I am rubbish at Porkas (or anything rear engined)

These are quite hard, lots of understeer and then you can coax in a packet of oversteer. Makes them quite lively.
Enjoyed the race but messed up that 1st chicane a couple of times to many. Was pleased I never hit anything and kept in generally going in the right direction for the whole race.

I think I did a lap or ten when I bought the cars (no idea where, wasn't Salzburg). I've got a telly hooked up to the 'puter atm, to watch the Daytona 24 stream (should the qualifying return, I'll go back to it). Started the game, saying "whats the worst that could happen?." Loaded the setup I'd created in those couple of test laps. The fov with the telly, was horrendous, left to sort that. When I came back, the setup seemed ok, though I was locking up a bit much. I was still adjusting the brake bias as the grid formed, worked out ok, on the whole. Except maybe, when I out broke myself into the turn one chicane (sorry Dieter). No idea who was in Pete's car, whomever you are, please return Pete. Grats sir, grats to John and everyone else too. Sorry again Dieter.

Sorry again Dieter.
No worries, I was struggling myself anyway. If you could properly chat in this game I would have said not to wait. But thanks.

great race well done Pete! you seem to have the hang of these Not really much to fiddle with these on set up, but after watching Dan Cammish in car videos (from the carerra cup) I am sure he was having a better time than me driving these porkers. Every time you tried to push it would bite you!! and the brakes cant be right! you have to literally lightly press the brake pedal or it locks up! so trying to out brake someone is going to be very tricky! still is was fun just need to know what Pete's secret is JP

Braking kept catching a few people out I think. I will reduce braking for the next one.
