I had a lot of fun with this car. This is my favourite real car racing series and I was really looking forward for this race. The first time I tried the car it was pretty frustrating. But once I understood how it works and set it up to my liking, it was a really a joy too drive. I liked it so much that I did over 100 laps before the race Maybe because of that my pace was over one second faster than the second fastest one. That lead me to take the race as 40 minutes of trying to go as fast as I could, way more then I needed to keep in front. But then after the middle of the race I lost the rear going up the hill and hit the wall while spinning. It wasn't that hard of a hit, but my rear tires blew up and engine was off (although I don't remember seeing it red on the "damage map"). Weird... :/ That meant I had to esc and go to pits in order to continue the race. I came out 8th I think. I continued with fast pace but not as fast as before and the best I could do was a 5th. The reason I picked up the Ford was just because my favourite driver is #17 Scott McLaughlin. (if I may, I'd like to reserve this number for the series )

I hadn't turned a wheel with these cars or anything at this track before I joined last night So was still learning the track during qual! I was beggining to get the hang of them by half distance, but had fallen off too many times to be a threat to the midfield. A bit of a masochists tango with these overpowered cars at this up and down track with nasty brows to catch out the unwary, or wary but excellent fun. I will try to do as many of these as work allows

I can only think our last visit here in the highpowered, low grip F40 helped plus the track is so tight that you cant push the car really at all and end up coasting into the corners. Though the last corner did give an impression as to the car through a fast corner, learning on the front.
Never dreamed be doing those times so was pleasantly surprised to be that close to Felix but got pipped in qually and ended up 4th. tried to keep it steady early on and keep the Stefan and frex as close as possible but a few mistakes meant I dropped back a bit. Tried to just focus and close them down as it looked like frex was hassling Stefan a bit at times.
Sorry to SRW for knudging you but with it being so tight I was expecting you to stay on line which is why I made sure I came out on a tighter line to be along side you as I was carrying more speed.
With frex falling of at the end it made for an interesting end, finishing right behind Stefan. If i'd been more consistent I might have led to more!

Something I just didn't like about these cars when I tried them, but after a few laps they are growing on me..! Spent nearly the entire race battling with Stefan. Eventually got past, only to lose the place again when distracted by Felix going off in a cloud of smoke, and I changed down too many gears. Another small off near the end let Spanner through as well.
Great fun though, looking forward to the series now.
Congrats Stefan and Mark, commiserations to Felix.

Dont keep in mind but if you using NVidia card you can directly stream to Youtube pressing only 1 key ( using GForce experience hotkey). No FPS drop with FHD quality. Just register there.

That was an exciting race, I managed half an hours practice before I switched the server over at 8pm, then the practice session before the race, so was starting to get confident in the car, although I was still staying well clear of the kerbs (after being turned round a couple of times when I gassed it up over them). These are hard cars to master, lots of power/low grip and no ABS, but very rewarding when you get the hang of it.
It was good to see a decent turnout as well. Hopefully the series will be popular later in the year!
Out of interest I was racing with a default setup apart from winding the brake balance back to 60/40, does anyone have any setup tips for these beasts, and were other people able to ride the kerbs like they do in the real life cars?

I think Felix is the best person to give some pointers regarding setup i quess. As for riding the curbs, it is a matter of angle of attack and sometimes lifting the throttle a tad bit.

I can't remember, from the top of my head, exactly what changes I did for the setup. But the main changes where: soften rear suspension; slightly stiffen front suspension with significant increase to front ARB; deduce front camber; moved rear toe to slightly negative values (for better turn in and rotate the car, since this cars have locked diff). And adjusted the brake balance to 60/40. Hope it helps for future races

But it wouldn't be the first time the tweaks are opposite of what I think works
