AC is very annoying for sound - You have to be in car and using the App to change sound output.
Then you have to restart the track/replay...  Roll Eyes

Or just do what I do - and unplug the Rift before firing up AC if you're just doing a replay. AC won't see the Rift so will pick the next default windows sound source, which should be your speakers/telly Smiley

I wish all games would allow you to select the audio device similar to what TeamSpeak does (and FSX/P3D although not MFS2020, that's not progress Sad)

missed all these posts sorry, did you resolve it Stefan?  As mentioned, yes you have to set your audio device under 'sound' in windows to whatever is your chosen soundcard or speaker system. Also there is an oculus audio file in documents\AC that you have to edit with a 0 or 1 to force Rift sound on or off. Its just a notepad file so easy to edit.

How the hell do you stop Oculus from updating in the middle of a game?!! this is so stupid.

mine did same Stefan, crappy poor software  Sad

you probaly are suffering the same fate i am, in that you turn up just before or during our race sessions and so the hardware problems present themself just as you are trying to get involved. I did get in the habit for a while of turning the pc on early and checking everything is running/has been updated before i jump in the hotseat. But work/RL often prevents me doing that.

Isn't there an option to stop downloads when you are using it?
Like Steam has - I haven't ever had that happen to me, it'll download stuff and then present it to me next time I start the software

Been using the Quest2 for a while now, a massive improvement on my old rift, only reason for upgrade was cable went bad on rift but not as easy to use.

So, do any of you guys know this feature or actually use it? Seems to be using a feature AMD calls Fidelity Super Resolution and Nvidia has a comparable feature NIS. Could be usable for us VR users as prices for new GFX cards are going crazy atm.

As it's been a few weeks since I got it I thought I should post in here that I have wildly improved my Rift.....

By buying an Index Cheesy

The clarity is awesome, the tracking is awesome, and best of all - it. just. works.
No more rubbish drivers or constantly plugging sensors in and out between uses, I just fire up steam and a game and go Cool

My prescription lenses just turned up too which has made it even nicer
