Season 32 - 1965s - Fun Races - Monza - March 4

After a season without the beloved 1965s we will do a little series with them in the break.

We found a way to host 2 server with the same IP...
There will be  a server for the PRO and one for the AMS so please join your race.

Let's have some FUN

Race List =  IGOR
Server AMS = UKGPL_8
Server PRO = UKGPL_8b
IP Address = will be the same, so no idea what happens if you join via IP
Race date = 04-03-2018
GPL mod = 65 F1
60fps patch used = 60fpsV2newmod
Track = Monza (Papy)
Qualification = 20:45  UK time -> 45min
Race = race starts at ~21:30 UK time
Race length = ~45 min -> 28 laps
Damage Model = Int AMS - shift+r allowed, but please be carefull
Damage Model = pro PRO
Replay = here

"IP Address   =    will be the same, so no idea what happens if you join via IP"

I think you have to know the port number if you don't use the default one and add it to IP address. Ex: 192.168.0.2:32000

Cookie,

Good idea. Will try to make this.

I am a little bit concerned about getting enough drivers to support two grids at quite short notice.

IF there are less than X drivers on the Ams grid they could quit & join the Pro grid when there are 5 minutes of qualifying left. (X = 7??).

Just a suggestion at this satge.

Of course Billy, no problem (x=7! Grin )

But I want the two servers being busy parallel for a while Wink

I'll be there, driving on my new SSD.  Cool

Samsung 850 EVO 250GB with fresh Win7-64Ult install. Cheap upgrade for my holy-shit-this-thing-is-a-decade-old rickety Phenom 9850.

In other news, my K6-3/350 resurfaced (from the MAME box in a daycare where it's lived since 200?). Got replaced with a pico system, so they wondered if I wanted it back. I said yes because the Voodoo Banshee (16 rocking megs of VRAM, baby!) came back with, and they both still work!

So how to get a USB port onto a P5A mobo...

edit: ...and find a working IDE drive...

...anyone got an ISA network card? Cheesy AGP video, two PCI slots, one for sound, one for USB card (still to be sourced), leaves none for network nope hmmmm...

Noticed my car was in pitlane after practise session stopped, but accidently escaped from the server, and it wouldn't let me back in...doh  Roll Eyes

Hope you have a good one Wink

I thought the idea was to join the Pro grid if teh participation on the Ams grid was thin. There were 5 on the server when I left with about 10 mins. I was always going to be at the back of the Pro grid but stayed in touch for several laps until exiting the Parabolica & there was a wall of cars across the track.
Looking at IGOR there were a few late arrivals (new names!!) on the Ams grid - probably should have stayed there - starting P2!

It's a long time since I raced the 65s, great fun, even if I was not quite able to get on terms with the leaders.

I had a couple of screen freezes around the time Billy switched races, I noticed that there were twenty-one drivers listed on the combined servers at the time.  The race was fine, however.

Normally I'm not competitive in the 65s so a win was a big surprise. However, I would have been left a long way behind in the Pro race, those times are awesome. A fun race, these cars are easy to drive but hard to drive fast.  The servers seemed to work OK but a few people experienced screen freezes (I had one). Not sure if that was anything to do with two servers on the same IP or not.  Prob need some more testing before we try this for league races but it was promising.  Thanks Cookie.

...exiting the Parabolica & there was a wall of cars across the track...

I threaded that needle.  Shocked

To the driver responsible: Hello, fun race!? Taking out half the people following you by that "Unsafe Rejoin of the Year 2018" contender that was only necessary due to you hitting someone while they were off track?

I'd been having quite a bit of fun until then. Engine blew up (from apathy) lap 15.

Fun race till lap 11.After, a touch into Parabolica ,have excluded me from the battle.Impossible to regain 10 sec without the help of a  stream from another car.

Fun, Fun Fun,

Sorry to Tris when i ran wider in parabolica and touched.

My Rejoin wasn't good but i think another driver was the one who really rejoined badly

In the End P3 is really good for me. But on other tracks i'm not as competitive with the pro's

German Podium !
