I did my PB of 1:47 dead, with which I was very pleased. I used the same setup for qually as for race, as I always do. But I didn't know how it would act for 21 laps. In the first half of the race all was good, every lap in the mid 1:47's, but then my fronts were starting to wear and Pero_Grozni started to come closer. Well closer, he already was within a second of me, so he was getting too close actually Tongue.
But all of a sudden I lost him in my mirror...You tell them Peter what happened Cheesy.
Then the backmarkers start to come up. First Adam Parle, and he spun in T1. I had no where to go, so I rammed him. I was pissed at first, but I didn't lose a position and after the race he immediatly apologized. So no hard feelings thumbup2
Then it was getting the car home, to take the points.
I heard it has good video material this race, so let's hope.

So I see  Embarrassed He didn't appear in the import name list though so I couldn't select him, and now someone else has imported the data? How did they do that?

I wonder how he got the password though as he didn't register on the forum until 10:05 tonight and has yet to activate the account!

Hmm, that is rather suspicious... nono Perhaps running this short season without registration was a mistake after all... Huh

Shame both me and Picnic missed this one. After lots of effort getting the server working it would have been nice to show up for the first proper event on it, but c'est la vie. Sounds like you had good fun.

On the other hand my S2000 meet had a very good turnout. About 10 S2000s, an NSX, one bike and a CRV  Lips Sealed. Perfect weather for it. Driving at speed with the top down at night is awesome. Shame I couldn't take any pictures as I'm not allowed my new digital camera till my birthday. Bloody wife!  Shocked Wink I mean it's sitting there doing nothing and I can't use it. No fair!

Good show Zacari and Aagramn, doing well for Team Shark. Shame on you Gizmo. LOL Wink  Tongue

I'll be there for next weeks race.

What I don't understand is how Ruskus drives so fast with all the video camera equipment onboard?!

Good race - and it was going great right up till I ran out of fuel. Utter Pero stupidity at work there - I managed to mix up laps and litres of fuel and as it turned out I only had 16 laps worth of fuel. With enough fuel I would have been right there with Ruskus, possibly I could have also overtaken him as my tires were still very much alive at the point Ruskus started to understeer all the time.
I didnt do any practise beforehand and didnt have any setup so was quite suprised that I was more or less on the pace at the end of qualy. And in my old fashion I again managed to do a better lap in hte race than in the qualy so I am quite happy about that.
Next time around I will pay more attention to the fuel units -  this was one of my biggest begginer mistakes in GTL.

Arrrrgh!!  I was on a 1:49 qual lap with my ambitions on a 1:48 when the phone rang and I had to run out for important family business.  Looks like a missed a really awesome race, too, darnit!  Well there WILL be plenty more, muhaha.  Yes, GhostSpeed is here: we pass and you even see us!  Wink  I left the game on so I have the replay to watch, too.  Thanks for hosting!

About the cracked CD/DVD: Others have had this same problem and 10Tacle will replace the disc for a handling fee.  Personally I wish they would just TURN OFF the darn copy protection for us honest folks, what a waste.

Wow, what a great seasons opener!
I was having a good old battle with Flybri and Aagramn for a few laps until I gave it too much wellie coming out of the the last corner before the big straight and Smashed into the barriers, careered back onto the track and collected Gizmo (sorry again). The car didn't feel the same again after that Grin. Anyway got back to racing and found myself in another fight with Mr Cooper, I was a bit quicker on some sections of the track but found it too hard to make a clean pass especially when the cars are so evenly matched.
Really enjoyed that and love the TC 65ers.

No problem, as I said after the race it was just sheer rotten luck. I remember seeing you start to turn to the inside and a chain of thought along these lines:

"Ho ho, he's given it too much welly, here comes an easy position."

"Oh look, he's bounced off the barriers quite hard."

"He'll come to a stop on the right, go left, go left, don't lift too much."

"Perhaps he's not going to stop on the right after all."

"Oh dear."

"What's the sky doing over there?"
