i had a browse through it last night after installing, its a very comprehensive front end for AC, you can adjust or set absolutely everything. Impressive software.

Mixed results so far using it, on one hand it’s made my rift view sharper which is great, but it keeps losing my controls each time I fire up AC using CM , which luckily I had saved as a preset to reload. Something is stopping me re-calibrating my wheel in AC, which I’m guessing is the Rift so good job I’ve got the preset saved.

I race GPL online and may try AC online as well once I get to grips with it.
What do I need to know to join an online race here in AC? How do I find the server? What are the settings in the post and how do I enter them?
etc etc
Thanks

Server will have simracing.org.uk in the name, if you use the filter search you should find them ok. If you can't see them check the other filters, show password protected servers etc. Usually during the run up to race night there is no password, if there is one it'll be the usual one practice one from the good old GPL days Race topics should point you to any additional track/car mod required for that event.

Time of Day Setting: 14:00 Weather: Mid-Clear Start: Standing Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: normal Pit-stops: None
I assume these are all set by the server so I don't need to do anything at my end? Server track settings: SESSION_START=100 RANDOMNESS=0 LAP_GAIN=0 SESSION_TRANSFER=N/a
Damage: 70%
What about these?

Yup they're all server settings that get sent down to you when you join.

Miner, quick way to see if you can join online okay is to go and try one of our practise servers. Just look for simracing.org as Pete says and join the server for some practise laps (currently set for Mazda mx5 cup cars at Vallelunga) - you can see if you are on the pace by looking for the ‘stracker’ link in the race thread as it shows others laptimes (if they have done any laps).

In the search/filter box on multiplayer just type in '.org.uk' minus the speach marks.
Srou are the only server to use that combo.

Reading through the info on Content Manager and wondering how things are these days. Who is using it? Does it need to be disabled for our mp races and if so, will I still be able to start AC from my Logitech profiler as I do now? Does it mess up any mod tracks/cars that are installed?

I used it on my Win7 install both with and without the Rift and don't use it yet on my Win10 install with the Rift. The game has always worked whichever I choose.
I think the only issue will be if the server was set with something that can only work with CM. CM users should be able to use anything that doesn't use it if you see what I mean.

I installed it for the first time only recently after getting back into AC and it works fine (Win 10), and I also use the included Custom Shaders patch. I did have to disable some lighting effects for yesterdays Brands Indy race as the sun flare was too bright to see anything at Paddock Hill, probably because of the very early start time and low sun. Otherwise all good.

I've been using it for some time and never had any problems online. All through the F1 75 series for example I was using it. Once or twice I had controller / headset lockups, but that may be down to my ageing PC rather than add-ons. My poor performance can only be blamed on lack of talent...

Thanks all. Installed along with custom shaders patch + sol and looking very nice except for when I pause race to watch some replay, when I resume I'm plunged into night racing which isn't much fun in a single seater
