Server: Simracing.org.uk

NON CHAMPIONSHIP Special Test event - Big Metal at Imola

Password: see above

Practice: 19:45 (30 mins)
Qual 2: 20:15 (15 mins)
Race: 20:30 (30 mins)

Cars allowed
: Gr5 ( -Fabcar ) + GTO
Track: Imola
Time of Day Setting: 13:00
Weather: Dry

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Track Packs for this series
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

I need some help with this one.

I am away on a ship wandering round the British Isles, may not have any wifi, or anything to do stuff with if there is.

Stephen has an R3E event on Sunday, can someone set the server for this event sometime afterwards?
the only fiddly bit is to select GTO cars in the drop down list on the right, then do the + under the car lists and manually
add the Gr5 cars one at a time on the left, all except the Fabcar. (as it's too fast)

Not sure what the effect of the "Stay in practice if empty" setting does, but it may need still someone to
join the server at 19:45 to start the session clock properly

Slip of the mouse..... Ta GT

EDIT
**Times set to normal for these events in the event details**

Question? How does the start time suit people? IS it a little too early for people to make it in time?

Personally I like the 7:45 start time, means we're done and dusted by 9 or just after that allows some time to do something more relaxing before bed.

Frustrating race - great start from 4th but binned it in the top chicane. Chased back to be in the lead but again messed up the same chicane, although in a completely different way 2nd time  Roll Eyes Evil car that Mustang and on default setup not that quick in a straight line. Spanner's Beamer easily pulled away on the long start/finish straight.

Don't know if I missed a setting on the server but the in game timing was all to pot. Only showed other cars in your class. At least that meant all 5 of us got a podium  Grin

Kicked from the server several times, couldn't see other cars etc. About to give up, but one more try and it seemed ok - except for the weird timing issue..

Clutch not working at the start and couldn't get any drive initially - big apology to Bill and Eck stuck behind me.. But then ok for the rest of the race, and the Gr5 Nissan was surprisingly easy to drive, don't remember it being like that before..! Thanks to all.

Stuck with the group 5's as the GTO's scare me too much! originally took one of the nissans, but quickly learned it was going to take too much effort to tame it. Went with the Beemer but still took most of practise and qually to be happy with it enough so it didn't keep trying to avoid the tarmac.

Strange how last weeks race we were all clased as being in the same category but this one we were stuck to out grp5/ GTO classes so couldn't see the times back to Pete or Eck, only Dieter and Bill.
