Moderator's Report

Round 1 - Summary
Just 1 reported incident.

Server replay time: 0h50m15s

Lap 12 - Blanchimont – Dean Logan and Francesco Molteni
Francesco and Dean are trading places on the last lap with Dean leading as they approach Blanchimont. Both drivers are pushing hard. Dean runs slightly wide on the exit and Francesco sees an opportunity to overtake on the inside. He accelerates hard, but the grip afforded by the rear tyres of the Lancia is not good enough and he understeers into the side of Dean’s Maserati. Francesco spins but can continue. Dean is punted into the trees and is out of the race.

Dean had two wheels on the kerb when contact was made. He was trying to stay on the tarmac and was entitled to a car’s width of track at least. Dean did not at any point have more than two wheels off the tarmac, so his move did not constitute a re-join. Consequently, Dean did nothing wrong.

Francesco was entitled to attempt a pass but he needed to do it safely. The adrenaline is pumping on the last lap and no doubt this contributed to Francesco trying a bit too hard. The contact was entirely Francesco’s fault.

There is something not clear in the token. How is possible that Bastian have 12 token and Fullmetal 20?They are pro.I'm am and i have only 15 token? This is what is more visible but could be that also other are not correct.

Furthermore Axel am don't seem me correct. Huh

After some discussion I decided that the fairest way to assign Pro status was simply to make the top 6 in the S32 55GP Pro drivers. Everyone else is a Am (I agree there are some fast Ams).

I've been correcting the tokens so please refresh your browser to ensure you are reading the corrected posts.

There was an error in the results of S32 55GP R10 at Silverstone.  Clive Loynes had a lap dropped by the server.  This has now been corrected which effectively promotes Clive up to 5th position in S32.  Clive has pointed out that this effectively makes him a Pro and makes Bastian an Am (only the top 6 in S32 are designated as Pro drivers). Thanks to Clive for being so honest.  Available tokens for Round 2 have been updated.

Now that you have the completed results from last season I would have thought that you could safely draw the line at anyone better than 8th to be PRO.  I think that you could also add anyone who scored a podium finish in any of the races.  This would cover the "handicap bandits" who didn't do many races.

To me, there are anomalies in the rest of the list.  From where I usually sit in the pecking order, and an observation of who is usually in front of me, I would have said that Axel, Uli, Will, Carlos and Fulvio should also be PRO.  Probably Jeep too.  ;-)

Not that it makes a ha'p'orth of difference once we are under way.

Are you shure this is the right IP? Looks like a subnet adress...

I got a time out. 60fpsV2newmod?

You can see your IP here on the bottom right  Wink

I think that the problem may have been that the server was still set to Trainer car type.   oops

It is not too late to adjust this.  Happy to go with the suggestion that anyone who scored a podium finish in Season 32 is a Pro driver. That covers the top 8 plus Cookie, Uli and Will Tway.  That looks pretty fair to me.

I have no issues being Pro or Am.

Don't let my showings at Spa worry anyone though. Apart from ba55n Spa is the only track I've actually driven the 55's at and there isn't really any excuse for being slow in the Merc around there. Wink

But if I'm promoted to Pro I really have no issues, I'm here for the women & Beer. Cheesy

Can't promise women and beer but I can promise a fair and democratic league, so you are now a Pro Smiley.

Seriously, I've made the changes needed to reflect the driver's opinions as discussed on this thread.  Consequently some drivers have had their available tokens for the next round reduced.  Please check this post.  Hopefully everyone is OK with the changes. I don't want any disgruntled drivers, we are here to have fun.
