I like the irony of going to Scotland for a race on what seems to be the hottest week of the year!
I'll be down on practice as it's like an oven in my computer room  Cheesy

Hahaha, that is funny indeed.
Still quite cool around here. But not on race day anymore.. I also have the PC in the hottest part of the house. Undecided

This is a nice track to be driving these cars. Watched a lot of BSB years ago, so it is nice to be virtually driving it myself now.

Fun perhaps, but these cars are utter rubbish from a simulation aspect. They drive like they are on snow
not at all even slightly realistic. No racing car ever built can possibly handle like these dogs.
Old tyres, old suspension design, sure, but nahh. Fun to throw around, but like many of the AC cars
just sloppy, badly implemented car physics, and pure masochism.
I won't be driving these again.

what a total crap disaster night  Angry a stupid antivirus update knocked out all my controllers and I wasted half an hour trying to get them all working again , rejoining with only 30 secs remaining of the qually session. I went out quickly to see if everything was working (only to find my button assignments and ffb settings had also gone  taz ) and promptly launched over a kerb half way around, wondering what the hell was happening, sadly just in time to scupper someones last breath flying lap. Really sorry to FMG? (I assume from his race start question)  Sad
I pootled around for a couple of laps at the back but I had completely lost all focus and interest so retired as soon as the grid approached to lap me  Cry
Cr*p!

Lot of fun yesterday.

In qualiyfing session, finally I've done a good lap. The pole position lap was my best one.
I'm happy for stay near to my limit during an official session.

The race was very complicated. After a poor start I was in 2nd position, due to a Matteo's flying start.
I'm a little bit faster than Matteo and FMG, but after a good overtake, I made a mistake with the gearbox, and then I loose 4 positions.

From the 5th place I've switched in "recovery" mode, doing a good pace.
I overtook Alessandro in the first corner.
Then Armando let me pass because IMHO he was thinking "If Gavino engage the first 2 drivers, due to some incidents I can gain the podium".

Then after a some good laps the fight against FMG can start. He drives well and he exit from the last corner very fast.  For me is difficult to find some space in order to pass him.
But in the clark's he made a mistake, so I've passed him easily.

Now, after some good laps I reach Matteo also, and this was a very aggressive fight but without any bump. I tried in every corner, but Matteo is very cool and collected. For me is impossible to pass without risks.
In the meantime, FMG is behind us, and is very aggressive also.

I hate to stay in the middle of them, so I tried to overtake where Matteo shouldn't expect because in the training our judgement about an overtake in the first corner was "simply impossible".
I tried and I made it. With the help of him that avoids to use the entire track.

From now starts another race because I gain lap after lap until the chequered flag.

Congrats to Matteo and FMG for the podium and for the fairness.
Congrats all, because finishing the race was very difficult on this track.

That was a great race, pretty much a battle from start to finish angel
Very hard but very fair/close and clean racing too, an absolute joy.
It all nearly went very wrong when a backmarker span just as Matteo and I were hurtling up towards him, but as it all turned out OK in the end I'll just have to say it added to the excitement Grin

My new fan has stopped the issue of the Rift steaming up now, but it was so hot last night it just wasn't enough to keep me cool too! I was bright red at the end of the race!
Bring on the next one...
