Sorry we couldn't keep up and give you a bit ore grief Wink Tricky little buggers these things trying to get some power down out of the corners. Had a race long battle with Dieter, he passed me when I got a slow down and likewise I passed him with a couple of laps to go when he got one out of T1.

Matt have I been setting the race settings up wrong? The 2 classes thing is not working properly, the races start with the Grp5 being in front of the GTOs regardless of qualifying times. You don't get delta times to the cars in the other class either Sad

Finally, thank you all for persevering and joining the numerous systems we tried. Not sure what happened on the server. RRE wasn't obviously running but there was a DedicatedServer.exe running which I couldn't close (no Window) or kill using task manager. Looking at it it appeared to be an update exe so I think it had crashed and kept some files open so the update couldn't extract and run correctly. I ended up rebooting the server to clear it out and RRE's Dedicated Server ran fine there after.

Um, not noticed that effect before. But then most people seem to take a Gr5 car.
There's nothing on the server settings that would suggest it to me. I add the Gr5 cars as a group from the right hand
menu, then add with the green + which adds another group 5 car, which I then edit to be a GTO car, repeat for the 3 GTOs

I tried to kill the rre service and couldn't either, didnt want to reboot in case I needed to log in
My server starts, but I can't even connect to it from within the same LAN, which is a bit weird. I have opened the ports for t'inter
but that shouldn't stop me from the same IP range. The server is ....1.23. this PC is .....1.26
I'm sure I had it working ages ago, certainly for P&G. hmm not sure how I can do an AI race with 2 classes to test

That's exactly the same way I did it both times.

I missed the mixed DTM92 / Classic Tourers race, there was some chatter last night on TS but some confusion too. Did this suffer the same class problem?

The DTMTC grid was correct by times. I was in a TC beemer, and Eck was in front in the DTM92 one, but I can't blame the
car for that.  Roll Eyes

Dieter didn't do qual, and was last on the grid with a DTM Merc. But if he had of done qual what would it have done?
Not conclusive, but that one looked right.

Have to monitor that. If it does split classes, then we will have to go to the alternate class for each event.

See this vid at 51:25: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hjuJyiGgpc

Dev stream of a multiplayer multiclass race. There is a question about this, and he mentions that this timing behaviour is by design. Also comments that an option to see all times in the position bar may be introduced in future, but this was 6 months ago and I guess it isn't going to be changed any time soon.

Don't know about the starting grid line up, but I guess if they separate the classes in the position bar, it is likely they get separated on the grid too. Which is a shame..

As for the race, love these cars and enjoyed the battle with Pete. More please! Congrats Riccardo
