Not really sure i'm enjoying this. Were the cars that bad? has there been a physics update? I think i must have blocked them out!

You need the 1.1 physics update as per the race thread - I think this is new since last time we used the V8's.
Once you have that you should bin all old setups, they seem to load geometry that the 'new' physics can't cope with.
My old setup from Adelaide felt like I had about 40 degrees of caster when I ran it after updating Shocked
Absolutely no feel in a straight line and then very heavy steering in the tight turns...

Binned it and loaded default and the car was an absolute joy (For a 1.5ton, 600odd Bhp monster with a welded diff)
For tonight I was on default setup with 40 mins of fuel onboard and tweaked tire pressures, didn't need anything else.

As per my first post.
Make sure you have the 1.1 update installed and then only start from scratch with default setups. Loading old setups from previous races simply won't work out.

Having owned and driven a few cars with locked diffs I would say the physics aren't unreasonable, especially having watched these things religiously for years.
Just gutted I'll be missing these until the '55 mod championship @ UKGPL packs up (or my Gordini starts to be utterly outclassed).

Maybe its just the nature of the street track, but i have no confidence in the car. Any changes i do to the setup i cant really tell if its helped or not, car doesnt feel consistent, mainly braking but cant gauge brake temps and dont think there is an app.

You definitely have to keep it neat in this first round and stay off the barriers, then push it a bit more when we get to the permanent tracks

The phys feels similar to the previous version to me, with the 1.1 patch, and a fresh setup.
I have no idea how I managed a 1:23 last time  Shocked the 1:26 I got is doable, but I am a couple
of seconds of that pace even at the moment. Perhaps this version is slower? I will believe that
until later when  alien alien alien alien start doing sub 1:20 times  Roll Eyes

No Stracker?

They seem slower in a straight line.
My P-tracker still has my old fastest lap as a reference - I can equal and even beat the stored time until reaching the big straight, I'm almost a second down even on a good lap by the time I reach the kink.
I guess I may have run a lot less rear wing last time, but I'd need to build a shed on the boot to slow that much I'd have thought! Cheesy

Hi guys
I'd like to join this one, even if not a big fan of V8s...
I will take a Nissan, casual livery is ok

Cheers
