Good race, thanks to those who turned up Was having fun chasing, and actually catching Tudor (not often can say that) when we found Geoff stranded on the track Tudor went left, so I had to try right, but was a bad idea

Ahh, ok, thanks for that Riccardo, I wondered why you were in such a rush. Hmm might need to change the format then. If I set it to GTO, then add the Gr5 cars to it it will probably be the other way round. Probably best that we stick to one class for the rest of the season.

It has separated the classes since the start, can't remember if I started at the back before though. Note to self (and not for the first time): Must pay attention to fuel consumption...

Start was a bit funny as there were only 2 cars ahead of me, thought I had some sort of invisible cars thing going on, didn't realise the GTO cars were at the back. Anyhow race was good fun up until I spun off, even managed fastest Gr5 lap, how did that happen. Congrats to the podium.

Nice to get the chance to race again even if I was a bit rusty and good to see driver numbers creeping up. My car choice didn't help as I found myself tiptoeing around trying to keep on track most of the time but was good fun. I'll try and join a few more in future as work/life allows.

I remember us discussing the class thing, wasn't sure if it was a one off. I could set the cars up with a random selection, so some weeks its GTO behind some weeks it's the Gr5 Shame as I like the idea of mixed similar pace classes

New PB qualifying, after that could not get around half the corners without running wide! As Geoff said dirty tyres and subsequent lack of grip is a problem with these cars went off on first of the 3 right handers. I had a series of spins like a pinball between the two sets of Armco wrecking my car!

Sorry Geoff for the clumsy moment at the chicane - I thought I would sweep past and then let you by again on the straight, but you were much quicker through there than I realised and I just held you up, sorry. Really enjoyed the race though, loads of fun!
Congrats podium.

No probs Frex, there was no need to let me through, you are much more used to these cars than me & more consistent, my lap times were very erratic, I did a couple of 1.39s but quite a lot of 1.41-1.42s. Haven't tried the Monza yet, is it a bit of a beast? There was a French guy racing one at the Le Mans Classic, made a wonderful noise, much louder than the other Chevy V8s, & it was really quick too, quite capable of staying with the Porsche 935s.

It is a bit like a mini 935 in that it magically turns from a rocketship into an elephant when it sees a corner - although not quite so extreme as the 935. I love it..!
