rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the relevant Track Packs for this series
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

This is a bank holiday funrace to try out the new WTCR cars that have just been added to RRE.

I am thinking of using these in a series early next year

The practice server is up and running!

Yes, though isnt it WTCRC as they cannot call it a world championship, its just a Cup.

No idea if I'll be around for this, I'm going to my grandsons 3rd birthday party today. He shares his birthday, with his dad, so it may go on after bed time.... lol.

So its your 3rd birthday party as well. That explains alot Tongue

Am hoping to turn up. Bought a 2nd hand grapihcs card which included a waterblock on it from ebay, have fitted it but now i can see why he was selling it, its been abused a bit and now is completely unstable. Will reflash the bios to see if that helps, then i will need to refit my old card. Not a quick moment Sad

That was fun. Close racing as hoped and nice to see we (almost) all took a different car - and if Spanner had brought his Golf along that would have been another different make on the grid. Sector3 have worked hard on the BoP and it shows.

Hope we get to use these in a series some time.

It only accepted the 1st race results, but doesn't matter for a fun race.
I like these, I tested a few and they all handled identically to me.
It's like a rush job to release them, but does mean that they are "well matched"  Grin

I managed to stay ahead with reverse grid in Race 2, after getting mugged in race one
and not being fast enough to catch anyone.

Good fun  thumbup1

Decided to just try one car & work on the setup, went with the Alfa for no particular reason. Initially it felt very understeery & I could only do mid 1.36s with it, worked on the setup & eventually got into the high 1.34s with it, but I think I made it more tricky to drive & too prone to corner entry oversteer without improving power understeer. Did briefly try the Golf before joining the server & immediately did low 1.35s with default setup & it felt easier to drive than the Alfa, but stuck with the Alfa for the races.

Races were good fun & surprisingly close but was a little frustrated that I had made the Alfa difficult to handle which produced very inconsistent laptimes. Hope we do get to run a series with these, looks like it could be quite close racing.

The Golf and (especially) Audi were the most planted for me, the Cupra and (especially) Peugeot the lairiest with more lift-off oversteer. The others were all somewhere in between. That's with default setup only - once I'd purchased the Cupra and could play with the setup I found it responded nicely to the changes made, so worth persevering to get it where you want it..

By the way, did everyone remember to use Launch Control? I forgot in the first race, but it worked well at the start of the second!

Launch control? didn't know it existed. Like the push to pass in some other cars I hate that sort of thing
I like simple, can't be bothered to set keys for it.

Yes, I used it, worked ok but I thought it took an age to change into 2nd. Matt was just as quick away not using it & I tend to think it may be faster using manual clutch & gears.
