Don’t think GTL has ever been be-smirched for lack of glorious content, it’s just that it’s ancient in the world of pc driving sims so more than happy to see more great historic race cars in AC about time you guys joined the 21st century

I'm surprised people still prefer gtl over AC, other than weather, I can't really find any other advantage of gtl over AC.

Downloaded - I'll have a go. This means I can (probably) finally get behind the wheel of an rl Mk1b McLaren I know. It's one thing doing it in GPL, but doing it in AC will rock

Maybe your confusing us with P&G or GTR2 BTW how many histeric tracks does AC have?

I downloaded this a few weeks ago and it is great fun. Be aware that the cars are far from equal in performance so lots of testing to find a few which might be suitable to run in a championship.
As far as permissions go, the Lola MkIII is taken straight out of rF2 so doubt if that's legal for a start. A shame because the cars drive very well and look great from inside the cockpit and on track. Don't get much time for racing these days but when I do it's usually this mod on Spa '66 or one of the other classic tracks that are floating around the web....as I say, great fun!

But still we can see a bad track quality in many such track converts. Good tracks quality (road mesh, online functionality) is main thing for me in AC racing. PS/ So i'd prefer to race in good historick car mod in kunos laserscan track than i'll do it ( will not!) in bad track quality of historical track.

ooh, version 2.0 has been released at some point https://novom.ru/en/watch/wn9pxnOi_Rwnot sure if I trust that link on the youtube page so might be worth scanning the interweb another vid...is this the same mod though? Looks different cars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSbGJ0Fq_y8Version 2.0 (2018-06) Thanks to DrDoomslab we were able to do a full restoration of the models and really make them shine. All scaling is now properly done, as are driver animations/positions. In addition to that, we polished the physics (updated suspensions for all cars with live rear axles and a rebuilt for the BMW CSL (now fitted with proper rear semi trailing arm suspension). All cars received higher damper rates and a bit sharper tires with more lateral grip, resulting in more racey behaviour. Besides that, the Ferrari 365 got a complete visual make over from Mac Ten. New sounds for the Ferrari, Capri and BMW. All models got better aerodynamic balance for even better close online (leauge) racing. Most cars now can lap within 0.5 sec, depending on track conditions. That's a completely different mod and it has ripped content, so unusable for league races here .

This prototypes mod is another cracking historic racing pack Spent a couple of hours blasting around Spa with a full grid, loved it, such a quality grid of cars The 330p and gt40s can have some epic duelling on track whilst the 312’s fight the McLarens and Lola’s, with the 917’s leading the charge..as you’d expect I raced with the Lola mk3 in one race and a fezza 330 in another

if anyone has some spare time it would be great if you could test a few of these cars out. I've raced a few against the AI and some seemed quite even, but learnt from the past that some of you can drag a lot more performance out of certain cars. For starters, the GT40 & P330 from this pack seemed quite even on pace, so some head to head lap times would be useful. Though would be nice to use some of the Can-Am brutes too

Ok, I've just tried this mod. I only tested spyder cars, so Mclaren M1B, Mclaren M8C, Ferrari 312 PB and Chaparral 2E. The first thing to say is that the cars have different lap-times (at least in Spa) and that they can hardly fight each other, so I don't know if it is possible to do a championship with them. I don't think so. The 312 PB and Mclaren M1B are close, Chaparral 1 sec faster and the M8C another second faster. This at least by a quick test, but I did a setup of course, because the default ones were like always quite bad. About graphic and sound details, I would say that it is definitely below that of AC cars. The best car, in this things, is the M1B. Ferrari 312PB has a bug with Momo logo; Chaparral a really low resolution cockpit and strange body animations. Mclaren M8C is the worst: terrible tyres sound, wrong engine sound (at low-mid RPM is almost quite), bad body animations. About physic hard to speak, maybe no so bad.
In conclusion, it is impossible to do a championship with this mod, especially because of the differences in cars performance; and it has low level in general (like almost all mods).
If we have to use a single car, better to choose between the different ones already in AC; there are several prototypes as well.
